Jebao Cross Flow Pump

Ok. So the "wave" comment is about the use of a propeller powerhead like the WP60 to bounce water off the far end to make standing waves, which the gyre can't do.

Am I getting there with the translation?

Kind of. It will certainly make waves if you want them too.

In 28 pages of this thread no one mentioned this pump as the CP-40.

That's funny. There was some givaway on fish street that the Jebao was going to be different from the Jecod CP-45 - if you looked at the Aqualink S1 page it says "Not Suitable for DCT/ DCS Pump / Jebao Gyre CP-40 CP-25 , if you using this type of the pump, you need order our Aqualink T1 Wifi WaveMaker Controller"

While the cp-40 looks nice, what I am really interested in is the Aqualink - can anyone confirm that it is only the CP-40 that isn't shipping to the US at this time? I want to replace my main return pump (DC6000) with a DCS7000 / Aqualink T1. It will bum me out bigtime if they arent selling these to the US.

Oh and all the salt clogging up this thread... some of you need to get a life:eek1:

nice update on Fish street web site :

We are sorry just All the CP-40 is gone stock~ Need Pre Order, first order fist send out

I can't justify buying a knock off when it costs as much as the original!! Considering they didn't have to do the research and design.
Jebao must be making a killing on this

Is it going to be necessary to get the "wifi" verisimilitude in order to sync two together? Because the RW's have a sync capability but I believe it's called "wifi".

I wonder how many units that was? Probably at least 1 pallets worth; wouldn't you think? Couple hundred units?

Where can you get the original at that price?

Australia....While the poster is exaggerating the Australian dollar is tanking so the $350aud for the gyre here is like $250 USD currently and is predicted to be closer to $175usd in the next two years....

I have one of the wifi cp-40 getting shipped as we speak.
Tracking number given and it is on the move to Australia.

Let the whinging begin.

so the jebao gyre is less gph, can't be shipped easily to USA, not as well made as the maxspect , lacking customer service for their products and the price is higher than originally expected.

hmm... sound interesting... at least as this time does anyone else think it might not be as great option as originally thought.

LOL. AFAIK, no one has them yet. (I've got a couple en-route from the very first shipment BTW).

On build quality... You know the alternative is Maxspect don't you... Maxpect! They'd have to be pretty bl**dy shocking to be worse build quality or customer service. :lolspin:

PS: I paid less than half the price of the Gyre and the RW's I'm replacing have been faultless.

Price would not have been an issue if I had the confidence that a pair of Gyres weren't going to fall apart in my hands, cables crack and fall apart, the shafts snap or be so noisy I'd have to buy a magnet upgrade.

You may not like the Gyre and that is your choice but do not over exaggerate the issue. There may have been some issues but Coralvue has great customer service. I had a launch Gyre with none of those issues but Coralvue still sent the parts to make sure I didn't. Some of the people that work at Coralvue have been a members of RC for a long time and great contributors. Also all the issues have been taken care off.
