Jebao Dc powered pump

Does anybody have any experience with one of these pumps? I have the jebao wp40 and I am very satisfied with this. I am building up a 240 gallon tank and thinking about using one of these pumps.

I have 3 of the DC12000's and 2 of the DC6000's on order with Jebao. We were told about 2 weeks ago it would be 4 weeks before they shipped. But then it was a pretty big order.

I can't wait to get them!

I got one a little while ago. Though it wouldnt work with the setup my system ended up being, its a silent monster. Working on using it to rebuild an older euroreef skimmer now.

I just got one a few weeks ago to replace my old Turbo Sea 1740 pump. There is no comparison as far as noise level goes. The Jebao is dead silent. However, flow is a different story. Although it is rated at 12000 lph (3168 gph) the head loss is extreme. I am getting less flow thru my returns now then I was with my old pump. Still I am overall happy with the pump as I can now listen to TV without turning the volume up to overcome noise from the tank.

I also ordered one of the DC6000's for my skimmer. I think I'm in the same group buy with Ron so I should be getting mine the same time he get's his pumps.

Any news? Anyone get theirs yet? Was online looking at pumps today and came across the DC6000 & 9000. Wondering what the flow loss is. I want to use it as a return pump.

Guys hi,

I got the DC-12000 and have an issue.
I opened it to clean it before first use and found an O-ring next to the impeller. Where is it supposed to hang on? I just can't screw the plastic to the pump's body when the O-ring is in place. Any ideas?

I have a 215 gallon pump with two of this WP-40s and so far I am very happy with the purchase.
of course i've never tried the MP-40

It's been almost 6 weeks and Jebao still hasn't even shipped our group buy of wp and DC pumps. They can't even give us a possible date. I like the pumps, I love the price, I really hate the total disregard for customer service. They are the exact opposite of EverGrow when it comes to service! I wish EverGrow made pumps...

I bought a DC12000 earlier this week. Seller said I could have it in 1 week via express mail or wait 2-3 weeks and get it. I chose the 2-3 weeks because I don't even have my tank yet. I wonder why your GP is taking so long.

Guys, I hooked up mine today. Replaced an old Eheim 1260. Well... what can I say... It moves a loooot of water. You got to see it to believe it.

It is 1.8 meter... around 6 feet I guess? Even on the lowest setting on the controller works nice. It passes through one tee and three 90 degree elbows. I am using 25mm (~1 inch) pvc pipes. The overflow is external durso made by one 4cm pvc (~1.5 inch pipe) and when I tried to put it on the max setting, it was gurgling like crazy, but sill manage to drain the water to the sump. Now I have it working on the second (out of six) setting. I have better flow, and use less electricity than my old pump. Hope it'll last for long.

Hey gcaroll,

I just got mine up and running. I plumbed it internally and have it on a manifold running 4 reactors and a nozzle for a chiller (not used yet) and return to tank. I love this pump. I tested it and it emptied my sump chamber in under 10 seconds on the highest setting. The return stream through a 1" return was incredible. I ended up only using it on level 2 for everything.

It is dead silent. I hear my Vortech's and nothing else from my tank.

Going to buy a second one for backup.

First off, great looking sump do you mind if I ask where you got it.

Second, do you have any pictures of your manifold plumbing posted anywhere? I am hoping to do something very similar with the DC pump.

Thanks, Matt

can you take a more detail shot on the how the nozzle are connected please ?

Ordered directly from fish street website. DC 12000 a week ago. They said 2 week back order. Showed up on my doorstep today. One week. Gotta love that! I also run a DC6000 for my saltwater mixing tank and use that to pump water overhead thru the drop ceiling to my 210 gallon Reeftank for water changes at 8.5 feet high.I set the pump speed at 3 of 6 speed close my mixing valve halfway and open valve to tank full and fills nicely.I also have the dc9000 running my mr 2 skimmer and use that pump to pump overhead thru drop ceiling to filter room directly to drain pipe . Makes water changes a snap! Love this new setup and reduction in electric bills with these new pumps.

The return side. I thought having a variable speed return pump was to eliminate having to dial it back. Am I missing something?
