Ordered a 12000DC and (2) WP-60's for my 240g I'm building. Can't wait to try them out, for the price can't beat it. I already have two MP40's and they are ridiculously loud, plus the fact that I've had to replace a wetside, and a power supply just pooped out of nowhere, another $50 bucks, almost the cost of a GB WP-60. So for the price of the Vortech, I can get two WP-60's and a Reef Angel to control them.

no problems here......use the feed button every day. much more accessible than going thru my AC unit to feed the fish.

My first DC-12000 was bad out the box. Didn't flow anything near spec from magnet rubbing. Got a warranty pump which is dead in 3 months(2 days ago). Was told I was the only one with problems. My ehiem is 3 years old and runs like a champ I need more flow!
I got two pumps for 190 bucks in a forum group buy other wise id be ****ed.

I have 2 of the DC12000. I hooked one up externally for my saltwater mixing station. No issues at all in a month or so using it external. Hooked the other up this weekend with my new sump plumbing in my 210. I have it hooked to dual returns and a manifold that goes to my uv sterilizer and biopellet reactor. I have it set on setting 3...and get plenty of flow.

Sorry for the late reply. The 12000DC on the lowest setting is very quiet. For normal running, I have mine ramped up to 3 or 4 out of 6 and it is still very quiet. Just make sure to use foam under the pump and tubing the first foot or so to elimintate vibration noises and the pump will be silent, at least in my experience with it.

It looks like klwheat is using standard fittings on his DC1200.
I spent some time in HD trying to find something that would fit my DC6000 and it looks like a 1 1/4 inch female threaded coupling will fit that.
I had to get back to work so I didn't have time to confirm it, but I'll probably go back this weekend to find what fits.

Standard 3/4" id flex pvc fit on my dc6000.

still pumping strong.....love the one button feed mode.
took it apart for a cleaning, looked good. dont like the gasket design, but it works.

from reading seems not the best for basement returns and coupled with reduced return line, maybe not your best choice

Yeah that seal can be tough to know if its in the correct spot.
