Well, today's the day mine are supposed to be delivered!!!

Can't wait to start playing with them. They should be home when I get out of work. More to come....

If anyone is still looking to buy one of these aquatraders just put a discontinued sale on the last ones for $29.95 today

Man! These things rock!!!!!!!!!!

I am waiting on my mazzei injector still so I decided to run it as is until then. I am using the built in injector right now and decided to try it with a rio 3100 pump for starters. Within the first half hour it started pulling dark crap out. I used an o-ring on the exhaust tube to set the water height in the skimmer and I also used a special air valve I had laying around to adjust the airtube. It is great as is!!!!!
Makes nice fine bubbles with the pump at full throttle.

Man did I get a deal, and what is even cooler is that I was smart enough to order two of them! I have never spent better money on my tank than this. To think I could have spend 400 bucks to get something comparable...

I am ordering a needle wheel pump also to try and we'll see what's better. That or the injector.

It is also pretty decent as far as quality goes. I played with it for about 15 minutes out of the box and had it up and running easily.
For a skimmer that is not ready to run out of the box it sure was easy to get running with parts I had laying around.

All I can say is that if you don't capitalize on this deal, you're a fool!

Yep, saw that. What would it take to put in a riser tube though?

It's just in the collection cup. A piece of clear PVC and a little glue would work fine, and they priced it even cheaper.

Or you can waste money on something for 3-400 dollars more that does no better.

dhnguyen,

I'll try and get some posted tonight....

sherm71tank,

I see your water level don't quite make it to the bottom of the riser tube in the cup per your last pic. I was sitting there for a few waiting to get some foam out of this thing and put a rubber o-ring on the water outlet tube so that I was able to raise the water height inside without a ball valve.

With the water level right at the bottom of the riser tube it seems to skim a lot better and not too wet either.

Just thought I'd throw that at ya.

Thanks cbonito. I've got the CSS 220 sitting next to the Jebo right now in my sump so they are battling for the skimmate cup :) the Jebo has it won so far. The CSS just isn't making much of anything. I don't guess it is all that fair though. I'm running the Sedra 9000 and an airstone in the Jebo right now and the pump on CSS is a lot smaller than the Sedra is. I got em dialed in where I want them and will let them fo for a few days.

I picked up the 220 for $160.00 including shipping. I guess I have about the same into the Jebo because I cut one of them up to make it larger. It's pretty close in money spent.

The WP4 pump is the one I use, the WP5 will work also but seemed to overdrive the impellor, the WP4 seemed to work better.

Would you compare the WP4 with the sedra 9000? When purchasing the NW impeller, would that be the one to get (the 9000 model)?

Yes the 9000 NW fits and runs great in the WP4 motor. Just be sure to gt the entire NW assembly including the ceramic shaft.

Probably on this board in about a week when whoever bought all of Aquatrader's stock to sell for a profit receives them and posts them for sale.. lol
