I just don't know why I can not get the camera on this one. I moved it to the frag tank and even there I can not get an accurate picture of it. Top down does not do this coral justice, and it is too big for me to get a good pic when I move it close to the glass. Excuses excuses I know. But I do not have the right equipment...lots of corals though. It is on my to do list as it is ready to frag.

Take a look at these new aquisitions, big colononies from a friends tank.

where's that pic 250g? :)

Dave, I know what you mean about the pic. But I can tell it's a stunner for sure. Also, it looks like that Hoeki is growing pretty good. Mine is one of the slowest growers in my tank. What's the seceret? :)

heya eric :)! man, i've had serdars sapphire hoek (phisybusiness) for over 2years now and the thing hasn't even grown 1/2"!!! i contacted them and they said it needs INTENSE blue like like 400w 20k's.

Hey Eric,

I will get a picture of my "Fuscia" one of these days...I have posted poor pics of it in the past when it was smaller.

Well I can not take the credit for the size of this hoek (about the 2x's the size of a softball), this coral came from a buddy. It was high in his tank, and his 400W XM was close to the water. I have it high in my tank and it seems to at least be staying the same colour.

I have had at least 3 hoeks in the past, they all did not grow significantly and eventually took a turn for the worse. Just like most corals, whether colour or growth, I think it has alot to do with inherint qualities of the coral (at least that is what I tell myself when I buy expensive frags!). More times than not this generally ends up being the case.

Yeah, that souunds typical Tim. Believe it or not I have had better luck with the Wild one we brought in 2 years ago than cultured ones. Still grows slow though! If was to ever give up the biz then I would set up a tank with 400's. Until then, I cannot see my self replacing 10 250's with 400's

Now this is what it is all about...take a look at some of the great ones out here who have paved the path for alot of us sps gurus...these guys are sick:) Thread that needed to be resurrected...
