it ate too much(too greedy) and today i found him belly-swelling and stopped eating anything. I thought him had enteritis or more possilbe being ascites(fluid in the testine). Currently he is swimming normaly except a big problematic belly and not eating.

What should i do to him, i want to help him, searched a lot but in vein.

Although I have not tried it some people have fed a fish with these symptoms a boiled pea. It seems to relieve constipation.

I don't have any suggestion now, but this type of fish can actually die from overeating.

I suggest that you do not allow this to happen again.

Possibly any thing too thick in consistency can be a problem if it loves it too much and eats a lot of it. If an angel eats sponges mostly in the wild of a thin or loose consistency, too much thick food could gel inside, perhaps, IMO.

I had a gold flake that did the same thing. sounds like an internal parasite. is it starting to look like a porcupine????

What did you feed him to cause the problem in the first place?

i fed him pellets, ocean nutrition, new life spectrum pellet, hikari marines, seaweed, cyclopeeze..nearly everything. I thought he ate too much because i fed my fish nearly every 3 hours...till one day, found his belly huge like a pig and not eating.

The seaweed is very hard to digest and can do that esp with other foods. Many people feed nori separate later part of day or every few days. Its roufage that can clog up.

today i checked him, still big belly, not eating anything. It seems he is struggling to swimming with his big belly as i can see he is kind of floating upwards.

Now im quite relieve and dont blame me though i know 95% of his destiny is death, i'd be sorry for him to look him dying without nothing i can help. I just realize i cant spoil my children any more next time.

today he seems to recover, belly subsided a lot. Also he seems to show some interest in food( staring at the food though not picking) , i ll keep on inspection.
