here's a standard RO/DI. the black line is the source water supply inlet. the blue line is the product water outlet. and the yellow line is the waste water outlet. keep your eyes on the yellow line, you see where it plugs into the RO/DI unit?
un-plug the (yellow, but your may be a different color) waste water line where it attaches to the unit, and there should be a small tube inside of it.

normally this inner tube will come longer than it should be, and you will have to cut it down to the right lenght. when the inner tube is at its full lenght, it wont let as much water out of the waste water line as it shuld. the rest of the water is forced to divert through the product water line.
cutting the inner tube shorter means that more water will be allowed to pass through the waste water tube.
there is a ratio to aim for when cutting this tube to lenght. i think you should get 4 parts waste water, to 1 part product water.
