Kessil A360WE

Here are a few mediocre shots of my 48" x 96" x 24" tall 480g display under 8 Kessil 360WE's.

Tank looks great Scott! I actually just read through your entire build thread after you posted a link in this thread. Great read, but took me almost a week to get through lol.

Do you guys think 2 360's would be enough for a standard 90. I am close to pulling the trigger, but am worried 2 won't be enough, and the center brace will prohibit the use of a third. What should I do?

Thanks Portsie. Glad you enjoyed my thread!

Two probably would be fine depending on what you are keeping as well as the length of the tank and the width.. That said, if the center brace is clear, I wouldn't let that prevent you from adding a third. Light shines through the acrylic or glass just fine. You loose some par but it's not a big deal and it really won't be noticeable to the eyes..

My tank only has two 24" x 24" openings in the top at either end and my top is fairly scratched after 20 years of service.. You'd never know from looking that some of the lights are shooting through a 1.5" thick acrylic top. I did however position and aim my lights to maximize them and their coverage with a fair amount of overlap.

Thanks, ya'll. The tank itself is 42Lx30Wx19T. I was out of the hobby for a while and decided I wanted back in, but was going to do everything I wanted to do with the old tank. The stand is about 40" tall and made of 8020. I had a furniture builder in Houston build the wooden skin around the 8020 to match our furniture in the house. The skin easily slides on and off when needed (like today when I had to replace a stupid float switch). Here's the kicker...the dog sleeps under the tank. Worlds most expensive dog cage.

My tank is 48"x18"x24tall. The centre brace is black plastic. Right now I have mostly lps and softies, but have a few sps and don't want to be limited going forward.

How wide is the bace? While it may cause some shadowing, if the lights coverage overlaps, it may not be noticeable. Two would probably work though.

I feel ya! Where are you in terms of setting the 150 back up?
Well it never got taken down. I'm still working like crazy (own my own business) so I'm working on automating things. The last thing I need to do is set up a auto water changer. After that the only manual tasks left will be mixing water and feeding.😁

Only things that survived the neglect are a clown, angle, yellow tang, and some mushrooms. Ow and also an invincible cactus coral. It looked dead but, after I got water back inline it just came back to life!

The brace is about an inch and a half wide. I think I'll start off with 2, and take it from there. If I need another one, I'll worry about it then.

Pics? I want to see what neglect you are talking about. My neglect lasted @ 8 months and everything but my Tomato Clown died off. I quit the hobby with the exception of my clown for 3 years. I put my Tomato in a 11gal cube for 3 years and now he is doing just fine. Going from the Dead Sea to the clear Hawaiian waters is, literally, what my Tomato went through over the past 4 years.

My Planted Freshwater tank is doing extremely well as is my 30gal reef. Cross my fingers this will last!

I just bought a A150we amazon sun but it just says W and not WE, how do I know if it's we or not and not a fast one by this company? I'm gonna call Kessil tomorrow but didn't know if anyone knew tonight

Not sure about the w or we but, I am pretty sure the Amazon Sun is for freshwater and the tuna blue is for saltwater.

Yes I already know that, that's not what I asked, thanks though
It has to be stated in the box at least, the first a360we only stated the E in the box. The most recent a360we say e-series on the actual pendant.

Have a 40 with similar dimensions as you and my 350w is about 8" above the water which seem perfect. Had these fixtures for almost a year now. Par is about 450 at the water surface and 50-60 par at the sandbed. Thats with 40-45 percent on both knobs intensity
