I noticed how your overflows drain right into your filtersocks. I have the same setup on my new sump (actually the exact same layout, just bigger, designed by aquatica) and was wondering how you like it. I'm trying to figure out the best way to do it so I can easily remove the socks, but I also want to have the return flow in below the water line to avoid splashing, noise, etc. Any suggestions?

Did you have to raise your skimmer ? I have the same sump and skimmer I noticed mine would not work as well if it was not raised up about 2 inches

Lookin good Erik,

Is that some type of chromis or damsel?

Where did you get your tubing for the Magus. Regular 1/4" line is too big and not the same as the smaller tubing that comes with the doser.

Nice skim sludge you got going there. That psammocora is very cool, and I think you need to change your filter sock. :)

Forgot about updating , sorry ...
Wayne, that's a bubble Magnus dosing pump. It's working great so far
Ed they are Talbot damsels fish, http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+28+128&pcatid=128
I picked up the tubing from pet smart, 5.99

I lost just one coral since the start of this tank, a sps from the c-sea swap. It looked bad in the bag but held on for a few days before turning bone white on me.

I'll try to get some new pics this week, everything in the tank is going through a growth spurt right now!

I like the sump design, it stays pretty quite. I did have to raise my skimmer about 1.5 inches to keep it steady with no over flowing

Had to miss the Shop tour due to I can barely walk right now with a ankle injury so I decided to use the time to work on the tank.
Upgraded the apex firmware so i can get on board with the fussion software and use my newly purchased apex feeder. Thanks for picking that up Steve. Ive got the camera ready to go today to so hopefully I;ll get some decent shots/maybe video as well.
stay tuned
Erik
