rip it apart and spread it over the surface area of the fuge---you will get better growth and as a result better uptake of nitrates ad phosphates from it
Also purposely take out a handful of it once a week by ripping and tearing the ends ----this promotes growth also

I didnt know this. I will give this a shot when I get home. I hopefully get to go see a masters tank Saturday. I will take pics for our pleasure Luis.

Great. I was wondering if you would have it finished. We should be back late Saturday. I am sure we will see each other Sunday.

Hurry up, almost done with the vacation. We leave for Sioux Falls tomorrow. Cant wait. Will meet up with Tangdiver Saturday morning.

Thats it?:)

Well after having the CBB for over 8 weeks i put him in the DT. The kole and the powder brown went nuts, after a couple of min the kole lost interest but the powder brown would not stop chasing. the powder brown was not nipping or anything but the CBB went defensive and left a good amount of scratches on the PBT face. I decided to put up a eggcrate barrier up on the tank.

2 days of eggcrateing the tank and i took the barrier down at lights out. The CBB was eating great and did not nip at any of my sps or Lps on his side(1/3) of the tank. The PBT did not chase as much but didnt let the CBB come out of his cave either. after 4 hours the barrier went back up.

i woke up early this last sunday, put up a mirror on the tangs side and took the barrier down. tangs were scared of the mirror and the CBB was kinda left alone. i didnt turn the lights on for 2 days.

yesterday i turned the lights on and the chasing began, but over the hour i was home for lunch it got better. i got home last night and the PBT let the CBB have 1/4 of the tank and by lights out he had his original 1/3 of the tank to roam. since the pbt is letting the CBB roam more and more it should only be a couple more days.

very awesome update!!!

as of yesterday afternoon the CBB is taking care of the aiptasia in the DT, i have not been able to dose the aiptasia for weeks now since i didnt want to take the chance and poison the CBB. Some of the aiptasias were close to nickle sized head.

The powder brown and the CBB are getting along better, the CBB is free to roam the tank but is not allowed in the PBT cave which is also the Cleaner shrimps cave. He will sneak in for a quick cleaning but is quickly vanished as soon as the pbt come back to claim the cave...ohhh the drama. I have another cleaner shimp in the acclimation tank and i might move him into the display if they dont start sharing the DT cleaner shrimp. The CBB is comming right up to my hand now and i will prob try to feed him by hand soon.

i gave up trying to keep the blood worms going, no one in the display tank but the pajama cardinal would eat them.

I should mention that the sunburst anthias is doing well in the DT and adds a good bit of color to the tank.

Glad to hear everyone is getting along now, and sweet bonus that the CBB is going to town on the aiptasia. It's always nice when livestock does what it's supposed to.
