with GFO and proper LaCl3 dosing you should be able to drop PO4 faster than Kim Kardashian drops her pants

Guys im from India and my family business is chemicals. Im getting 99.99% pure lanthanum chloride powder.. howmuch to dissolve in distilled water? And is there any dosage per gallon method? Do u need to mix lanthanum chloride with lanthanum sulfate? Also can we mix lanthanum chloride with alcohol for reduction of po4 with no3?

PM me for MSDS sheets if desired. Most of us use various pool products that contain Lanthanum to remove phosphates. The research I've done suggests the Lanthanum Chloride concentration is around 10-15% for most of the pool products available in the USA.
Be VERY careful using Lanthanum in your system. Most people use a drip method slowly adding the Lanthanum into a 10micron filter sock or dose it slowly thru some type of filter media reactor to collect the Lanthanum Phosphate precipitant. You want to minimize the exposure to your tank inhabitants (mainly fish). Please read up on this before you start dosing!!!!
I would not advise mixing Lanthanum with alcohol to help with nitrates. If you carbon dose with ethanol/vinegar or some other carbon source, it should be done separately. The mechanisms are completely different.

I came across derkroons dosing,
500 ml of derKroon Mechanics Lanthanum Chloride solution, which contains 800 mg per bottle. Each 250 ml of derKroon LaCl3 solution will remove 0.8 ppm phosphate in 1,250 liters of water.

In the general reef discussion section I posted my latest project,
a combination of LaCl and a Rollermat. Making good success with it, phosphates are falling :bounce2::celeb1:

Hi guys I posted and got some good advise in the beginners forum with my dry live rock/Pukani leaching Po4 in my bare uncycled DT. I did the bleach and Muriatic Acid bath, on the rock and was easier then i thought it be, still in the past 2 weeks that its been in my DT the levels of Po4 keep rising right now at .55ppm using my hanna phosphorous test kit. i am needing your experience to help me out the 53 pages was very informative, i have read a bunch of info on LC here and another guide else where.
My question: Is seaklear "Phosklear 4000" (it states it is a combo of the po4 remover and water clarifier (the msds of each type LC is the only listed active ingredient) is it ok for me to use in my DT following above formulas? I have no Live stock in my tank as stated before and I am running my power heads, heaters and skimmer currently no lights till I can get the po4 under control. BTW it was the only po4 remover i could get in my area if its definitely not ok I'll find it online

I'm not familiar with SeaKlear 4000 you and don't know what the clarifier is or what imputies it may hold . An MSDS gives information on a limited number of ingredients; typically those with environmental or safety impacts. When I bought SeaKlear it came with a claifier in a separate small bottle; I never used that part of it. The manufacturer states the natural claifier which they still sell separately as well as inlcude in the 4000 product is sea shell particulates which I guess act as a flocculant of some sort .That may be ok depending on impuities.
After an acid bath new layers of sunk PO4 are opened up deeper in the rock and are exposed to equilibritation with the water; I suspect this accounts for the leaching now. Typically after the acid bath ,curing in zero PO4 water for a week or two checking PO4 and using lanthaum or another remover t is a prudent step for future applications.

Commercial Seaklear or Phosfree?
I've used the Phosfree before and use it for my pool.
Watch out the type of Phosfree you get.
Regular Phosfree is Lanthanum Chloride Hydrate (lacl3) @ 11.05%
Phosfree Extra Strength is Lanthanum Chloride Hydrate (lacl3) @ 26.52%
Both of which is ok to use.
Phosfree Professional is Lanthanum Chloride Hydrate (lacl3) @ 7-13%
But also Aluminum chlorhydrate and Zinc chloride both also @ 7-13%
Which I would not use
Also there is a Plus version I wouldn't use either.
