Leonardo's Apogon Reef

Super! A pleasure to see the tank doing so well.

The Deepwater Acro looks like a Granulosa. Looks similar to the 'Northern Lights' Granulosa that circulated a bit a few years ago, which I still have.

Thank you. I don't know the species yet, have to grow it out a bit more to determine it better. At least I know I got it as a Mariculture from Walt Smith Fiji :)

Yes! The acro in pic 8 is making me very jealous!!

Thanks ;)

When you have a small fish bioload everything is easy , isn´t ? Nice tank...very impressive, love it !

Best Regards

Thanks! Yes, why make it harder then it already is ;) I'm planning to add a school of fish though, not sure if I go for Apogon or Anthias.

Beautiful! How often are you feeding your fish?

I believe that feeding the fish is feeding the whole tank, so I feed them at least three times a day with a variety of frozen and dry foods :)

Thanks for the reactions and compliments guys!

wow leonardo these pocci's have become huuuge!!
Everything has grown a lot!So that's what happens when you know your stuff and leave corals alone huh?:inlove:
That loripes is @#$@$%!!

Welldone my friend and thanks for sharing:beer:

Just gorgeous! It's nice when someone veers off the norm and pulls it off so well. Great job.

Onvoorstelbaar gaaf!

Die Favia blijft ook maar doorgroeien, het is inmiddels een voetbal fomaat?

Blijven de grote kolonies van binnen en onder ook nog gekleurd en gezond?

Leonardo, I have followed the various tanks you have set up and I wanted to tell you thanks for doing things your own way. Very few people can go from a concept to execution as well as you and you get us all thinking about reefing in different ways. Bravo!

Like Formosa Forest you've once again pulled off a stunning display! Love the display my friend. Love it. So very artistic man. What a visual delight!

Thanks :) Yes, give the corals what they need and give them room to grow and they will become colonies sooner or later ;)
Already planning a bigger tank when the colonies become too large but don't let my girlfriend hear about it :spin3:

Thanks for the compliment!

Nice work Leo, once again. Good to see acros back!

Thank you, I also love the acro's I have right now :) Hope to grow them out to large colonies also.

Yes, the Favia is more then 8 years old now, and is still growing. I promised myself to always keep it with me. It is almost bowling ball size now.

The big colonies are still healthy inside. Just provide enough flow, good spread of light and enough nutrients :)

Very nice. Those large colonies look great.

Thank you :)

Thanks for the kind words! They mean a lot. I always tried to do something else and work from a concept. I see aquaria as a work of art, you only work with living organisms so it can be a bit harder to reach the goals you have in mind :) It is really rewarding to see thing falling into place now and I hope it will get better when the reef matures.

Very original concept, it looks amazing grown out so great job.

Thank you, I don't consider it grown out but it's slowly getting there ;)

Beautiful reef!

Thank you!

Thanks Sahin! Good to hear you place this reef next to the Formosa Forest. It has always been a tough job to create something again that would be as satisfactory, but I think I'm on the right track now.

And thanks everyone for the comments and compliments and for following my reef!
