thats my guy and it worked this time got him 3 days ago and he is eating any food that i put in the tank ! the next couple of weeks will be the deciding factor ,hope he makes it .they are tough to get eating well and he is doing that .

This big boy popped up for me this morning. He has a nice belly on him, but can't have eaten much lately. I've seen him picking, but I need to find some more live food (not an easy thing to do in Montgomery, Al...). This is the first time I've seen him since I put him in a couple of weeks ago (he went in with the female and the blue spotted leopard). I've got to figure out how to keep the purple tang off of him, though... I hope he makes it.

P.S. - Gary, I like your male bipartitus. I have never had any luck with them. The females are tough as nails, but the males are a bit delicate.

beautiful pictures of beautiful fish !i have 6 bipartitus's in a 75 gal tank and it looks awesome . trying to get a couple more choati's on monday ,hope they have some still .the computer says they do !

I think the female bipartitus are my favorites. I hope I can keep this male alive. I haven't seen it in over two weeks, so I was very pleasantly surprised to see it today. It was hunting and I saw it pick several things, so hopefully, it's been waking up just a few hours before the actinics come on and getting some hunting in before I come out in the morning. I'll be out at 6:00 tomorow to see if it is swimming around again. Gotta get more live food on its way... Dave's wrasse/reef tank at Kermit's is what got me hooked on them...

Does anyone know if these fish will eat Berghia Nudi's?
I'm having an aiptasia problem and worry about my leopard wiping them out. They are expensive buggers and would rather it not use them for food, I need them to eat my aiptasia first

The male made an appearance again Friday morning, then again today. I'm hopeful, but the PT keeps being the bully. Fins don't look frayed and he still seems to have a gut, so fingers crossed.

I just wanted to post an update on my female bipartitus. I received my new light fixture last Monday and have been acclimating my tank to them. This means I don't run the light very long right now. I am up to about four hours of light. Since she goes to bed early and wakes up late in the afternoon, she is all confused as to why its dark in the tank when she wakes up and goes back to sleep. I have only seen her twice over the past 8 days. She ate like a pig both times. I hope over the next few days to increase the hours the lights are on hoping to be able to have them turn on before she wakes up so she stays out and eats.

Stick with it. My male bipartitus was MIA for the first week and a half after putting him in, then made an appearance, then was MIA for almost another 2 weeks. He's been out every day since last Friday, so I'm getting more and more hopeful. He's not out for a full day at a time yet, but he's out muching on pods on a regular basis, so hopefully, he's on his way to acclimating. Just gotta keep the PT off him...

they are touchy that way and more times than not will come out like nothing happened so dont get worried just keep an eye out .

since Macropharyngodon are an excellent choice for pest control I would not trust them with any type of Berghia. These Wrasses can't tell the difference between a "good" nudi and a "bad" nudi... and they do eat nudis.

I kept a potter's for two years in a 65g mixed reef tank. I purchased it at the LFS, which has a better reputation then most. It accepted any type of food I put in the tank except for Nori. Was a great fish.

I had another fish go crazy of crazy and started harassing all of my fish. I lost a tang, a midas blenny, and the wrasse in a month's time. Since I took up Nutzo all has been well.
