Yes, a pair of choati wrasses. For my money DD is the BEST possible source for this fish with their guarantee. But still, a very, very difficult fish. I have one that is doing well, but they are not easy.

i sure hopes someone on RC picked them up, they were awesome and i'd love to see what ends up happening with them.

Snorvich i'm with you, i dont think you could find a better place to get a chaoti.

son of a gun ! i never check the sneak preview because its full of corals only . i cant believe it but i missed out . anyway someone else should have a shot at them right now i guess . my 300 gal 72"x36'X27" is in the making as we speak and then i will pull in all my efforts to get some ,they will be the first after it cycles ! well at least i hope they will be found at the right time . there are reasons for every thing that happens and it wasnt meant to be but i would have gone for them ,arrgggg ! thanks for the info ,now im depressed, well not really i have to be patient and get the monster tank in order . just hope i have a nickle to spend after i get the tank up and running .gonna do a rock foam back with plenty of caves with a huge pileof live rock in the middle of the tank . i have been experimenting with long balloons to make the caves and it works great . time will tell !

did any body save the picture of them ?if so please post me a teaser.

thanks Dave

omg ! now im mad ,that male is awesome ! i would have been on that pair no matter what . think i will go take a cold shower now ...................

I won them- I spent around an hour and a half refreshing every 5 to 10 seconds, and once they were posted was able to check out in under 10 seconds. I've had miserable luck thus far with leopards, I really hope that having a quality source makes the difference I need, otherwise I will be completely defeated/frustrated/humiliated.

dude i wish you nothing but the best of luck and really hope all goes well ! that is the catch of the year if ya ask me . make sure that you use the info on this tread to help you along ,there is a ton of great info here and you hopefully will get it right . what tank are you putting them in , other fish ,corals etc do tell .
great catch man and always best wishes
Dave

well i didnt have time yet for the shower but its great that we can at least hear how they do so maybe i will turn on some hot water too !

Thanks guys. They were too stunning to pass up. When I got the email this morning I was stunned- it was hard for me to focus all day at work today. I actually stayed an hour and a half after work so I could use my work's T1 connection to load the page really quickly! LOL. I'm hoping to do everything right for these guys!

They're arriving tomorrow... a little nervous, since they're shipping from Wisconsin, where it is 14 degrees right now... I hope I don't get fishcicles in the mail tomorrow :/

they pack fish very well,no worries at all . do you have live food for them ? are you ready to embark on the choati leopard experience ? i wish you the best af luck and please let us know how they are !
Dave

Yes, you will need PE mysis, and ideally copepods such as found in a large mature tank. Also, of course, fine sand for them to bury within.
