I was able to take a picture of him. He dived right under my chalice coral, I noticed my chalice was on its side, then I put the chalice back up as it should be, there he was. When I was putting the chalice straight back up, I didn't know he was under there, so, I gently put the chalice back and snapped a few pictures.

I have a Ornate Leopard Wrasse. I had him for 5 days and most of time he is laying on his side. Only one time I saw him swim very active and that was Sunday 12:05am.
Does anyone know if he will live.

Hi Folks.

Apologies if this has already been asked and answered... Should the size of the fish be an important factor in making a decision to purchase or not?

I also noticed that some of the responses here indicated keeping the fish successfully with tank temperatures in the mid 70's. What about keeping them in cooler temps such as 68-70F?

This might have gotten missed between the other conversations. I'd appreciate it if anyone with experience can provide some feedback...

Here is a picture of the Leopard Wrasse that I took today, I still haven't seen it come out and swim yet, I've only seen it poke its head out of the sand or come out for 2 seconds and re-dive into the sand. Here is a picture with its head poking out of the sand.

Well, I found the Leopard Wrasse under a dark cave on his side, hes not buried under the sand and he isn't breathing too rapid, I'd say at a normal pace I suppose. Hope he makes it....

My Ornate Leopard Wrasse is doing the same thing. He just lays on his side all day. But when its 11pm he turns into a different fish, he starts swimming up and down, back and fourth very fast. Is this normal?

I got another Leopard Wrasse! lol I got it for $19.99 at a LFS and it eats frozen foods! They say they had it for 2-3 weeks already. :D Looks like a Macropharyngodon meleagris that's turning into a male. So, I guess I have a male/female now. :D

Just an interesting tidbit, don't think I posted it before. I had a harem of one male and three female bipartitus... I added a juvenile meleagris and the male bipartitus went NUTS. He stressed/killed the meleagris, and went super aggressive on the female bipartitus. He ended up stressing one to death.

Interesting info Tylt, I've had a similar experience. I introduced a juvenile meleagris and my well established female bipartius wasn't very happy about it, she stressed the juvenile to death.
