SunnyX - I'd be honored if you swung by. You'd of course be welcome to snag a frag or two of mine if you see anything that catches your eye.

Jflip - Geos are the most popular no doubt, but I don't know that that makes them the best ;) I'm not an expert on CA reactors, but from whats been explained to me, the fact they don't recirc the CO2 is a negative. Also the fact the bigger ones use an Iwaki pump, means they are less efficient than a reactor using an eheim.

JR - forgot about your stool question. I got them online from Gibraltar Furniture. The stools are made by Nuevo Living.

Very nice. I knew I was going to like this one. You surprised me by leaving the top of the walls open like that. It gives it a unique style.

untamed - Thanks much. I am probably going to close the top in, but first I'm going to do the side walls with tile (or maybe wood, I keep flip-flopping on this), see how it looks and then decide if I want to close the top in. btw, checked your thread out on canreef the other day, looks like it is coming along nicely.

In other news my RKE arrived and I'm heading home from work to set it up...and may even get the frag tank running today if I'm lucky :)

Bax and Reeftanks6 - thanks much.

So I made some progress last night. The RKE came in and it is up and running, still need to wait for a couple more powerstrips before it is fully automated. Also snapped a few pics....

I changed my bulbs up to add a couple actinics, hopefully that will help with the bleaching I was getting on my orange monti cap. I definitely like this color combo more.

Here you can see the net that I made to keep my fish IN the tank :)

Not the greatest photo, but its the best I've got of my skunk tilefish (back right). I love this guy but he is very shy, and I was lucky he snuck in this pic of the PBT.

how hard was setting up the RKE Mike?

It took quite a while, and there were a few moments I wanted to punch a pillow. It took a good 3-4 hours to get it installed and programmed for my lights and pumps. Now that I've figured it out it is very easy to program it and it seems like it will work really well.

Yup, thats the one, its pretty slick. Although I've already found a number of kinks...I'm sure they'll be fixing them, and I guess that comes with the territory of being an early adopter.

I have a short fuse sometimes...I think I yelled a few words at it I can't type here, like the computer was going to listen to me or something :)

I'm hanging in. :)

Heres another little update I spent all last night installing the RKE and zip-tying all the wires so they are somewhat organized. Also thought I'd document a really cool simple mounting option I found. I used self-adhesive heavy-duty magnets that I found at the art supply store to mount the RKE, the Tunze Osmolator, my Vortech WWDs, and attach my moon lights to my lighting. Its cheap (about $1.50 for enough magnets to mount each), easy (all you do is peel and stick one magnet on the wall and one on the back of whatever you are mounting) and looks really clean. Plus its nice to be able to remove whatever is mounted very easily.
