Has anyone here had any experence with the ATI Power Bar light setups?
I was talking with my LFS and they told me that when it comes time to change bulbs (in 8 to 12 month according to him) you have to replace the whole unit . This just does not sound right to me, replace the bulbs and ballast when the usefull time fram is up. Anyway I wanted to see if anyone out there is using the ATI power bar or knows anything about it. I'm not going to buy them if the whole unit has to be replaced rather than just the bulbs.:rolleye1:
By the way great tanks rxonco, Deuce67, and dsp78213. And very nice shots of your tank Grim Reefer.
Thanks again to everyone for the great tank shots and taking the time to list your bulb configurations and selection. All this information is excellent for first time buys of T5 lights.
Keep the great pics, and info coming..
I wouldnÃ"šÃ‚´like more light over my tank.
The corals really grow fast and everything is fine.

@enomadra
thats rubbish
you just have to change the bulbs
here is a side with many german tanks where you will surely see ATI Power Bar light setups http://www.aquabilderbuch.de/anzeige.php
That would be awesome. Right now I am trying to figure out the best way to clean the mess.. I don't want to recycle in the tank as that may lead to phosphate problems in the future.
Rob - You can buy from ReefGeek or IL Solutions . I buy from IL Solutions because they're local, so I can just pick up whatever I need. I think that there's some place in Sac that actually carries it too.
Thanks Chem-e. IS there a difference in the HO bulbs or is that what they all are?? I am new to the whole T5 lights but I got a great deal on 3 retro kits so I had to buy them
