LF red bug treatment

I've noticed my Acros have lost color over the past few months and I think I figured out why. Without a magnifier of some kind I can't say for sure they are red bugs, but but I noticed some sort of "bug" on my acros last night. One or two moved and moved quicker than a flatworm could so I'm assuming it's red bugs or some other pest pod. Also the damage is just faded color and not eaten away flesh.

My request is this, does anyone near SF have any sort of red bug treatment I could buy? I'm looking for something that's proven to work on red bugs, if you have anything like that please PM me. I may not check this thread so PM is better than replying to this post.

Can you remove any colonies to dip them? At least that way you can see what comes off to make sure you actually need a red bug treatment.

If you do have red Bugs then you will want Interceptor. Look it up for dosage and side effects.

Thanks for the ideas. I Didn't want to get in trouble with mods for suggesting using a prescription drug. I have a dog and of course have a vet who could write a prescription for interceptor; however it's been off the market for a few years and my vet doesn't have it in stock. If anyone knows of a source though please PM me. ��

From what I heard you can get the interceptor from a company in austrailia and I think one in Canda. Do a search on here and you will find all you need to know about it.

Oh and you wont get in trouble for talking about it. LOL

That should help us in the future. I have my dog on Trifexis now but apparently one of the ingredients is not good in reefs.

Same dilemma here. I have Red Bugs, but when I went to the vet he advised Interceptor was discontinued. I even checked Pet Meds with same results. Sentinel replaced Interceptor, but all of the Sentinel pills I found were "flavored" so I would't use that. Can't remove the corals, they're all encrusted onto the rocks so dipping would be very difficult.
