Its amazing to see how quick it starts declining after the lights go out. Running a fuge on an alternate light cycle may help. However, on a large tank, I don't think it does much.

I got up to do the old man early morning routine...decided to go check on the tank, turn off the fish room AC, the usual stuff. I forgot for a moment the camera was in there... :eek2:

Update

Chris the contractor came by yesterday and grouted the tile in front of the tank. This afternoon, the carpet guy will come by with Chris to install new tack strips and secure the edge of the carpet. Chris will clean the tile and the project will be done from his perspective.

I already have another project for him... it's just not fish related.

The upper door panels also arrived yesterday, and they are a smidge wider than I ordered. However, I re-measured and think I can make them work...

I'll get some pictures up as the install gets underway after work this afternoon...

I'm usually awake at that time getting my quality research done since we're a couple hours behind...good thing I was not last night. I probably would have decided to take a peek at the wrong time:lol:

Here are the Temp and Ph from overnight - I see some improvement in the pH since I added Kalk to the Tunze dispenser:

And since I installed the ORP probe, here are the overnight ORP and current usage results:

The ORP seems lower than what I expected after reading several articles, like this one:

However, ORP has risen over 30mv since I put the probe in the sump yesterday...

Congrats on the split, been in Clearwater Beach, Florida, so just getting caught up. At this rate, you will split again in no time!!

Got a question...What kind of fish is this? While we were swimming in the Ocean, three fish roughly 10 inches round or so, swam between my wife and I. I didn't get a great look at them, because one it was a fairly short look and two, I was trying to keep my wife from walking on water and scaring them!! LOL But they looked similar to this fish.
