Fish cat

Fish cat

You have the twin to my cat! I was so surprised to see him on your tank - mine is very curious and loves to go "fishin" as well. I call him Bubba. You can't tell from the poor photo, but he has bright blue eyes.

Great tank - I'm getting ready to start my 180 but it won't be anywhere near as complex as yours.

what are the energy bars, the outlet strips?

Correct! This eight 120v outlet strip is controlled by the unit. Each outlet can be configured to be turned on or off by the controller, based on parameters monitored by the controller it "knows" which outlets your lights and other equipment are plugged into so for example if you temps hit a pre-programmed threshold the system can turn that outlet "off" based on the reading from the temperature probe. This is just one of the many functions it's capable of.

Nice to meet Bubba...that's probably what our Jay Jay will look like when he grows up...he's still a kitten. ;) Our vet says he is a flame point Siamese, fairly rare combination...

He took a dip in the tank yesterday while we were constructing the upper framework... I've never seen a cat walk on water before, but he did! However, I don't think he'll do that again.

Thanks for stopping by - please tag along and come back often!

Great job guys....

Really getting it polished up.

Thanks, Lynn.

I just ordered the door panels to go above the tank... it took awhile to explain what I wanted to the millwright... they should be here Friday...

I must say that seeing the tank with the rock, corals and fish....it is really looking great. Having trim work around the tank really helped in giving it the "getting close to finished" look.

What a great system this. George and his family will enjoy this for a long time. I am looking forward to seeing the tank after the doors are on and the staining is done.

Nice George,

I remember rthe day I put the trim/doors/canopy up on my tank and stood back....

The difference is astounding...as I am sure you discovered yourself.

My hats off to you. You surpassed my build by far.

Well done.

Staining? What staining?

We don't need no "steenking" staining... I'm likin' the natural wood look, and may just put clear polyurethane on it...

Still thinkin' about it...

Thanks, Paul.

You are most kind and gracious... I just hope I enjoy as much success inside the glass box as you have had...

In a few weeks, I will be sending invites to the many who helped for a little reception to enjoy the fruits of their collective labors...

You know, it would look awesome painted white to match your entertainment center...that would really tie the tank in with the room.
