Nice!! Wrasses would love that deep sand. Stand looks strong. With all of that flow are you getting SPS? What fish do you plan on getting? Did you get your ca regulator from carbon doser?

The SPS will be coming from my existing 150 G tank, Fishes I'm thinking small schooling fishes, True Percula Clownfish , Anthias I don't know much about yet, Cardinals, more Drgonets and Dwarf Angles. yep it is carbon doser. I am relying on my LFS to suggest the fishes I know a guy there he's very good.

I will do rb/cw/uv and ratio will be 40/40/20, rb/cw/uv will be controllable. UV looks dim from my initial test so maybe it will not add much.

Beautiful Tank! Totally jealous of the dimensions. Can't wait to see this set up.

Are you just doing the sump under stand, or is there going to be a fish/sump room as well?

Auto hood lift actuator in action

Auto hood lift actuator in action

The hood lift took me at least 4 weeks trial and error, a lot of moving weight to support.

Nice to see the progress.

The frag tank area looks like a beer keg at a quick glance.

How far into the cycle are you?

Beer keg is not a bad idea, I'm only a week into cycling. I'm not suppose to turn on Skimmer while cycling but I can't wait. ATB 10.5 is rocking the foam, skimming a little wet.

Progressing slowly

Progressing slowly

Fish and coral are starting to go in, Bio-Pellet finally showing sign of working after almost 7 weeks of cycling. Nitrate is at 2 ppm Salifert and Phophate is at 2 ppm Hanna, no algae out break yet on the display so the test is validating.

Tasks

DIY Auto hood lift - done
DIY LED light build - mostly done, 3 more fixture left to do.

SRO Calcium reactor - in process.

So far Fishes are schooling cardinals. Tangs will be in later they are more aggressive and dirtier.

Very nice. Almost ideal dimensions: 96 length gives you room for just about any reasonable fish; 36 front to back allows for plenty of open sand; and 27 high doesn't require you to be an Orangutan to service the tank - all without being a maintenance monstrosity!

I have to agree with not being too monstrous. My first perception after moving it in was how am I going to do it then if I haven't bought 6 tangs :) put it in a smallist 150 g probably more like 135g total volume. In this hobby, going big is a natural progression almost can't resist. 36 inch does allows for more flexible aquascaping, bigger rock looks small inside of it. The Pukani dry rock in big sizes looks very natural.
