Lysiosquillina maculata is it "reef safe"?

I know that these are mad man fish killers, but how are they when they get big with other reef inhabitants such as corals, starfish, anemomie, clams, etc..?
I have one right now in a 12g but within the next couple months will be setting up a 75g reefand want to know how he'll be because I know I can't leave him in the 12g.

Generally, a LM is safe with corals/starfish/anemones. Inverts such as shrimp and fish the size of or smaller than the LM are not safe. Although I have found in my experiences that my LM leaves everything that is considered not safe so long as I keep him well fed. I would only risk it if you don't have expensive prize angels or other expensive fish. Cleanup crews are generally safe and replaceable.

I have a peacock that resides with a few anemones with no ill effects.

My main concern was with corals and other inverts, I wasn't planning on any expensive fish, more than likely just a few damsels for movement.
I just wasn't really 100% about the habits on this species of mantis and wanted some input before going forward with the corals.

Damsels will be mantis food. Real quick. Sessile inverts should not be bothered.

sessile hard shelled inverts like hermits and snails should be okay. Crabs are toast as are shrimp. i dont see the point in even trying to keep fish with an L mac

i assume you know you need a deep sand bed. at least as deep as a full gorwn L mac is long

Yeah, I'm in the process of getting the tank set up and have been stocking up on sand. The fish for the tank would only be in there until they grow enough to not get eaten in my 240. The damsels are a diferent story, I've been trying to find someone around here that wants them.
My overall idea with the tank was a new take on the "aggressive reef" idea but with my shrimp as my main predator.
