I tried FO after having a Reef and it only lasted about 4-6 months before it was replaced with another reef!! I'm a sucker for corals and fish just add a lil movement for me!

You have one helluva nice coral collection to just give it up!!

I keep trying to tell myself that life won't be that bad without a reef, but I know thats not the truth. My blood is made up of calcium carbonate, alkalinty and magnesium.

OK, I got my second light set up this week and today I finished hooking up the calcium reactor (Thanks Shawn for the bottle). Now its time to see if I can get the dkh dialed in. The temp is stable within 3 degrees thanks to the aqualogic controller.

Congrats on the upcoming TOTM Mark.

I'm sorry to hear about the AEFW/phosphate issues, let me know if there is anything I can do to help (I highly recomend you replace your LR when you can and run massive GFO in the meantime).

My Rimless you helped move still isn't up and running due to family issues, but I hope to have it filled by the end of the month. The Incredible Hulk is alive so you will get a frag when I get it into the new tank.

Regards,

James

Thanks James. I was wondering how your tank was coming along. I am sorry about the family. I hope things turn around for you.

Great thread and beautiful tank. Are you still using the Aqua-C RX-1 if so can you give me your opinion on it ....I'm planning on getting one for my 120g. thanks Mike

Thanks Mike.

Yes, I am still using the RX-1 and it is the easiest Ca reactor I have used. I have not had to touch its settings for over a month now. I definitely could recommend it to someone and I would buy another any day of the week.

I use a John Guest valve off of my return line to keep the reactor with constant pressure. IME, a feed pump is necessary for optimum performance on any reactor. Some might debate this, but that is just my experience.

Hey Mark

I have been thinking... are there any other known products on the market that treats flatworms, Trematods, or flukes?

You've already probably thought of this... but if you could find another product that does the same...like levamisol with pigs.

I figured since the family shares similar characteristics and perhaps the drug might not be as harsh
