It is my orange monti digitata, looks almost red under my lights with blueish tips.

Somehow stumbled upon your thread ... Glad I did. Well done Mark, you are getting excellent results. I especially like the way your coral placement flows throughout the reef, very natural

Update: Changed my T5 Tek to 2 Apollo LED lights. It is now 4 weeks and everything is doing well. Here is short video:

The withe balance is still a little off,but yes colors are different under T5 with combinations of different spectrum bulbs. I will be supplementing with 2 fiji purple T5 bulbs to get the reds stand out more.Blue and green corals are looking good.Again it is hard to set the right white balance on my camcorder.

Will be watching this closely. Interesting to see if your sps start to fade in color or improve. Im still not sold on these led fixtures that have been popping up lately. Im a radium halide fan. Dont think anything can beat them. Maybe a diy led setup with adjustable led wattage. Thats the only thing that I have seen in person that have made sps improve in color. Gotta be able to tweak the wattage on those leds.

Yeah ,I am interested as well how my corals will respond long term.I will post updates once in a while.I really liked my colors with T5's.

Right now tank is going through changes.I sold some of my big colonies and other corals. Also changing my fish selection.I will be doing major reaquascaping weekend of Sep.10-11.Once all is done I will post more pictures.Corals responding well to LED,and getting their colors back.I will supplement them with Fiji purple and Blue plus T5 bulbs to get more of "pop" in my red and orange corals.

Why are you reaquascaping? What do you hope to gain and are you replacing some of the rock? I'm about to too, and need to decide how big to build.

Where did you get the LEDs? Looking great, as always!

I want to do with less rock in main display, got rid of some coral so others will have more room to grow. When I started, I did not expected they will grow so quick, most of them grow in to and overgrow other corals. Also it is impossible to clean my sand right now.I will be going BB with sand and more rock in sump. Most fish will be replaced ,I am going with small school of anthias and cardinals. No more big fish in tank.I got my LED from here:http://apolloreefled.com/portfolio-item/about-our-lights/

I am very happy with them.

Awesome looking tank. Did you ever change the pump on the skimmer?

Believe it or not I never did,but now I will finally get to it.The BB 3000 pump has been waiting almost a year.My original pump is still doing awesome job.I will keep it just as a back up.

Your tank has really good color and unbelievable growth with the T5's. I have been running my 90g tank pretty similar to yours with Tek T5s, np pellets, iodine, AAs, etc. only your growth is so much faster. Would have loved to have seen your tank in person with the T5s. Hopefully it will look just as good under LEDs once the corals adjust to the new light.

Sorry for all the questions, want to learn from your experience.

Why more rock in the sump? I have had difficulty keeping the rock area clean in my sump. And, why the decrease rock and fish? More flow and decrease waste? You had some beautiful fish!

Basically I want more open look in main tank and want to go with Anthias and small fish now.Rock in sump for more biological filtration ,since in main tank I will get rid of about half the rock that is there now.I do clean my sump monthly,it will be easy to get rock out for few minutes and clean detritus from it.Mainly I guess I am just looking for different look to my tank.
