So everything in the tank is now recovering well from the most recent issues.
I have developed what looks like dinoflagellets on the gorgonian, which is annoying but other than that everything is once again stabilizing.
So of course I have to change something. haha
Last week I began a project to change out the original factory LED's that came with the MARSAQUA fixture I used for primary lighting.
I needed to replace 2 Diodes that had burned out, so I went ahead and ordered 10 20K diodes, 10 395-400UV diodes, 10 410-415 NM diodes and 5 460-465nm diodes.
I replaced the red and green existing LEDs with UV leds, and all of the warm white 3.5K diodes with Violet LEDs, only two of which being 20K's.
I also installed 3 other 20Ks.
This created a much more white/crisp white channel and the addition of the UV/V leds helped fill in some spectral gaps this fixture has been missing.
I immediately noticed the "cleaner" appearance, but have not seen any substantial coloring effect on any of the corals yet. (Its only been a week).
Here are some pictures of the process and a FTS of the tank this evening with the iPhone.
