Mars Aqua Chinese LED review (Ebay)

I'll definitely be waiting for your review in them because that's one I was considering as well.

I like the colors on that light! The app looks nice too. Keep us updated.

Totally agree. I also like the arrangement of them. With 120 degree lenses the crossover of the outer lights are perfect for what I wanted. They chip from gina so it'll be awhile as usual. But I'll keep you updated.

Does anyone have experience running 2 of the Mars Aqua 135w(?)black boxes over a deepish tank? Mine is 36 deep, and I feel like even my zoas don't open unless they are in the top 1/3. Looking for either some modding direction, or budget replacement ideas. Whatcha got for me RC? First post by the way.

Had to chime in and ask you wonderful users of this here LED Light to give me some input on what I would need. I currently have a Ocean Revive Arctici S026 and since they seem to not be making them anymore, was wondering about these MarsAqua fixtures. I am moving my tank from a BioCube 14 to a 40b and would like to know what I would need. What fixture and how many?

TIA

::EDIT:: The S026 is not over my BC14, but was from my old tank.

Why not get the t247?

The 300w Mars aqua might be a good bet then. Instead of 2x 165 w black boxes. That is what I was going to do but found a Reef breeders photon 24 for a good price for my 40b

Hi guys, I'm currently looking at upgrading. I have been looking at either a 60x30x24 or a 72x30x24, now with regarding the lights it will be primarily Marsaqua and T5 for supplemental lighting. I'm not sure on what would be the best configuration to to with, knowing that the tank will 75% SPS (some high demanding) and 25% LPS what would you suggest?
4 x Marsaqua 300 (parallel) with 3 x t5 ( front between back)
6 x Marsaqua 165 (parallel) with 3 x t5 ( front between back)
6 x Marsaqua 165 (scattered) with 2 x t5 ( front back)

Or do think that none of these with be adequate for what I'm after in terms of corals?

Also just put in my order for the 169w cob led fixture from popular grow. I'll make a full video review of it and again at 6 months and a year from now. I will endure all ups and downs with it and give an honest opinion on it. I do love my corals but I'll be as subjective as possible.

( also super excited to get them! And bear in mind I'm running this on a 20 long with unstable nutrients and will be sps this coming year.)

FYI anyone wanna trade some sps for some lps?

Originally I was going to go for a 40B build but instead dived back into the 75G world. I am picking up the tank, stand, and canopy tonight. 48" tank, should I do 2 165W or 1 300W?

I think you can get better spread with 2x 165. The 300w is only 24" wide iirc. The 165 will be 32"wide total. With 8" between the fixtures it should be about perfect.

Marsaqua 300w is 32". To cover 48" I'd probably go with a 300w and a 165w, mounted end to end and parallel to the front of the aquarium. For more coverage, either remove the lenses and raise the fixtures or carefully consider your coral placement. These fixtures with the stock lens are highly directional (good thing for depth penetration).
Use a PAR meter to set them up, and shoot for about 200PAR at mid-to-top of your reef. This is very important.
Cheers,
Ray

How is the spread on the photon 24 over your 40B? I am torn between getting 2 ocean revives, the marsaqua 300w or upping my budget (quite a bit) for a reefbreeders 24.

is the RB juice worth the extra squeeze over the marsaqua??

Reef breeders use bridgelux leds. Same as mars Aqua. Only difference between them is that the reefbreeders has controllers.

I have no experience with ocean revive

Hey Guys, still running some 165w boxes to supplement my cannons but one of the 3 boxes had a powersupply bite the dust, anyone know where I can snag one/a few online?
