Minimalist Aquascaping

I don't know if mine qualifies. I'm not real happy with it, sadly. I thought I wanted 2 big rocks, but its so hard to scape em all artistic like.

I think it looks pretty good. Its amazing how aquascapes change once the corals arrive and grow out.

Here is mine, sorry for the cell phone pics.
this has been up and running for about 1 week. The rock with the color is from my 180 to help seed the new Marco rock.
these pic's don't do it justice, I am pretty happy with it so far, I might have added another "branch" on the tall pillar, but hind sight is 20\20.
the monti on the shorter rock work will not stay there, I knocked it off the mother colony in my 180 and was playing around a little.

Uhuru, I absolutely LOVE your tank! How often do you feed the corals??

Thanks for the compliments. The corals and fish are fed automatically 20-22x/day. I also feed manually 1-2x/day with larger foods.

I've lurked in the background for a while getting inspired by all your great tanks. Here's a picture of my new setup from about 2 weeks ago. Not 100% sure it's minimalistic but I definitely picked up a lot of ideas from this thread. The lighting is temporary while get mine sorted out.

I love your right column. I wished I could do that on 20h but I'm scared it might fall down and break the glass. Are you using any pvc pipes,zip ties, silicon?

I used dry Marco rock, drilled with masonry bits from Harbor Freight then used these driveway markers the sell at HD that are made out of fiberglass as support rods then used the mortar mix from Marco rocks to put everything together... it is not going anywhere!! I used brand new poly cutting boards and put them under the rock work to protect the glass then put sand in after to avoid any shifting of rock work due to sand sifting live stock.
If I can do this, you can do it! have fun with it. And thanks for looking!

Thanks duncantse. No, there is at least a 2" gap between the glass and any rock in the tank. A couple of additional pics below from just after the rock was arranged.
