More to the fake Tyree Watermelon story

Let me clear this up. The person who bought the colony is a friend of mine. He did not know that it was not a Tyree or else he would not have paid $1900 for it. He was upset about having his ebay clients contacted without his knowing or having the ability to do anything about canceling the auction as anyone would be. The correct action would have been to take it up with him rather then make his buyers view him as an uncredible source of coral. If anyone has any info about the person he bought the coral from that would help him get his money back that would be appreciated. Please email it to me at reefnazout at yahoo.com. Thank you all for your concern. I have supplemented him with a frag of Tyree from my colony which I originally purchased through fragfarmer.com for his ebay buyer.

Thats hypocritical. He's mad that you contacted the bidders to notify them thats its not the Tyree as he's advertising.

He's mad that he got ripped off, because he thought it was the Tyree Watermelon, but it wasn't.

So what would he have thought if you told him when he was initially bidding on it that it wasn't the Tyree Watermelon. Do you think he would've retracted his bid?

Also, he could dispute it with paypal that what he got wasn't what was advertised. But disputes with paypal aren't fair either.

This whole ordeal is messed up. Everyone in this deal is getting boned.

I appreciate you trying to take care of this for your friend but why did he not write back to me? Why are you now taking control of this? Can't he speak for himself? To get flat out mad at me is ridiculous. He never said anything about taking care of the situation. He just got mad that I contacted the bidder. If he used his brain he would have seen that I sent the emails the same day the auction ended. If I only emailed him and he was dishonest he could have still sold the frag before I got around to letting the buyer know. I don't care what the seller thinks about me. It's the buyer I'm concerned about. This guy is a jerk and there is nothing you can do to change my mind about that. On the other hand if he emailed me to apologize I might feel a little different. He responded in a very rude way to someone that is trying to help out. Then he sends you to do his dirty work. This guy is a looser just like the pufferpunk guy and just like the other guy that was selling a colony of the same coral on ebay about a year ago. That guy backed out of selling it even though it a legit bid. This whole this is really sad and I don't know why so many people keep trying to sell this coral as a fake. They need to get a life and just sell it as what it is. You can get a good amount of money for frags of any watermelon chalice regardless of it having the Tyree name on it. Why do they feel the need to rip people off in the process? We should all email sellers on ebay and other places when they are selling fake corals. These idiots are not welcome in this hobby.

I say shame on any person that bought this as a "tyree". If I put a picture of a Pinto and called it a Corvette and you bought it shame on you.

I was winning the auction ,thankfully Matt directed me to this thread.
I was a little suspicious of the auction but thought maybe it was just a bad pic.
I was unable to retract my bid due to the auction being in the final stages. Luckily i was outbid but it went down to the wire.
I would never have paid anyway once the information was given to me.

I agree with everything Matt said in his last post and the fact this guy has the nerve to think he should complain to ebay for someone exposing his scam is just insane.

thanks again Matt, and also the other person who emailed me.

We're done here. This is not ebay wars. This is exactly why we don't allow cross linking to Ebay.
