Mr. Peanut's paradise (40Breeder)

Lets see a pic with those Blue Devils in there ;) Luis

actually mister Grant, they are not all blue. 2 are blue with yellow tail and the other 2 are yellow with black stripes. i cant take a picture because James told me not to turn on my lights in the tank so i dont get too much bad bacteria growing. i only have them on in the sump for my chaetomorpha.

Still waiting for my cycle to finish Tuesday will be 4 weeks since my tank got wet. In the mean time I want to get some suggestions on fist to stock. I really want to add a six-line, goby, 2 clowns and maybe a wrasse. Do you think that is enough or can I add more fish? What goby would you recommend? Would 2 wrasses be too much with the six-line plus one?

If you put in a six line you won't be able to add anymore wrasse because the six line will kill it unless the wrasse is much bigger meaner and was added to the tank first.

Cool, good to know thanks Tom. I was actually looking at either the Klunzingers or Laboutei fairy wrasse I love all their colors. :inlove:

Ive had a couple watchman gobies and they are fun to watch and have a cool personality, but a couple months ago my goby when carpet surfing, so I decided to try a lawnmower blenny. Its my first ever blenny and is awesome. I'd like to hear reasons why everyone doesnt have a blenny, I think its one of the coolest fish in my tank.

Also, If I was you I would only add the few fish you have listed and wait many months for the tank to become more mature to get more. I beleive a mature tank can handle more fish.

I Am going to take my time in stocking my tank, the first fish that will go in the tank is peanut the clown and some of my frags I have. Maybe a few weeks later I'll add another one or two but it will take time since I want to make sure I research first add later. I think maybe the new fish might not be added until January if I am able to take my vacation.

Luis those wrasses you called out should go into a very mature and stable tank or you will be wasting your money Bud. I'm talking like a year old system.

I got plenty of time for the tank to mature Grant, maybe I can make that my bday wish for next year since me and the tank have the same birthday:celeb2::celeb1:

Got my water parameters checked today

Need to lower the salinity but other than that's it's all gravy :) I'm sure peanut will love all that space just need to remove the DAMsels now lol

Use your salinity checker before you add fresh water to see if it matches the test number. It's a good way to check the accuracy of your salinity checker.

I did use it and mine is also reading 1.029, I will be taking out 1 gallon of sw from the tank and adding 1 gallon of rodi until I get it to a better salinity level.

Been taking out sw and adding rodi and checking the salinity with my hydrometer, today I borrowed my brothers hydrometer and checked my water again with it and it read 1.027 took out a little more sw and added more rodi, waited :30 minutes checked again and bam! 1.025 :)

Now the hard part, trying to remove the DAMsels so my other brother can use to cycle his tank.

Here is a pic for Grant of the devils;

I recently removed my chromis from my tank. I put some mysis in a cup and slowly let it pour into my tank with a net about 6 inches from the cup. Once the chromis swam up to eat, I scooped him up from behind with the net. I was very suprised this worked on the first try.

Cool, guess I'll give that a try. Worst case I don't get them good they get fed

Today was moving day for Peanut. It was a PITA to remove the damsels but finally got all 5 and moved to the sump for now I had to remove all the rock work to get the last one who would dart into all the little nooks and crannies in the rocks. Peanut was so happy to get such great real estate that he swam all over the tank :) Tomorrow new pics and my younger brother will take the damsels and add them to his new tank for the cycle, wish i could return them even for a credit for a new fish or coral but unfortunately I don't have the receipt now :(

some good signs of life finally in the tank other than some snails and those DAMsels lol.
