I used to have one in my 560 for about 2yrs. Succumb to a bad case of ich, possibly velvet, along with 23 other fish.
I can't find them around much anymore. I know NYaqautic has 1, but it's 110 just for shipping.
Anyone seen them at their LFS or kept them long term?

This will be my last tang I want to add.
He would go in with my gem, black and fowleri

I've always liked the mustards. Soooo very active.

Not sure if its the same over there but here they are very seasonal, so only available occasionally.

I've always liked them too and plan on getting one for my fowlr tank. But you're right, I never see them at stores. Only online and not too often either. I remember LA DD had a baby one a few months ago. It was so cute but I wasn't quick enough on the clicking.

It's a cool Tang for sure, not seen often at all.

When the come in, they come in spurts. They sell very quickly as well.

Sort of like Africanus Angels. Same thing.

Perfect timing too. My QT just opened up. My rhomboid pair and 4 carbyerri anthias went into acc box and DT yesterday

I was talking to my rep and he was saying its cuz,
1. They are seasonal as stated
2. They aren't around the reefs often, more open water, fast as hell swimmers

I saw SDC had them on their stock list yesterday. Maybe your Lfs can order one for you. They were listed as sm-med...not sure what that translates to sizewise.

I saw quite a lot of them in Hanauma Bay in Oahu. They aren't as abundant as convicts but they are there.

Yes, Haff that's where I'm getting it from. I have my wholesale license so I get them directly from wholesale. I have my rep holding 2 for me. They are 2". Which is perfect. Because my Gem tang is 3.5", my Black tang is prob 4.5" and my fowleri is 5.5".
So I will Qt these two and keep 1 for me and 1 will go to my client.

@corals, that's where I first saw them and instantly was hooked on them. They are so spastic it was funny. They remind me of a tweaker, which if you've ever come across someone on Meth, then you know they are like this, which can be quite funny to watch.

Cool. I have a buddy with a license and fortunately, he let's me regularly check out the stocklist. I saw them diving in Hawaii 5 years ago and they are definitely a cool fish. Good luck with yours and be sure to post some pics.

I'm a tech moron and can't even post pics of my gem or black or fowleri, or earls wrasse or cf. lancelatous, lineatus, 8line trio, rhomboid pair, labouti, or borbonias anthia.
Maybe someday I'll get to figuring it out, or someone near me will take good pics and show me how to post

Maybe if we ever visit my wife's best friend in San Diego again, I can take the pics for you (they may not be good)!

I like them too. They are certainly nice looking tangs and not something one sees on a regular basis in the hobby. Good luck!

If anyone is in the Sacramento, Ca area, Jo Jo's has one. It was there this afternoon.

About 3 - 4" in size, nice belly.
