Aquamaxx is fine... Splashed some saltwater from a water change.. left it alone... just getting around to fixing it... Shutoff the skimmer so that the VOC doesn't get in my tank...

Aquamaxx is located on the other side after I put my IM baskets in.

The brackets look good!!!

Glad the skimmer was not leaking. So you are not running the reactor then? Just skimmer and the caddies? Hard to tell from the picture.

I am so tempted to put the heater down in the center, have the ato set up so not worried about the water level, then I would be able to run both a skimmer and reactor...the mind is thinking!!

That little nub/nipple behind the right bracket is the IM reactor... Lovin it...
 
Ah I see it now! So your skimmer is still taking up a caddy basket? You think if you put the skimmer in the design spot you could slide a slim heater in there too? I feel there is almost enough room to do it with the reactor
 
For reference.. I still have both my heaters in the sump submerged.

Thank you for the picture references, very much appreciated. Just going cautiously back into the hobby, and want to do it right.

I went ahead and put my heater in the sump as well. Making room for my skimmer. I may get another heater and put one in there, smaller one in case of failure, but feel pretty good about the colbalt at the moment.

Ahh yeah.. No prob.. Those cobalts are nice.. did you get the flat one?

Yes sir! I like it so far. Seems very durable and like how flat it is.

What I don't like is this return pump. Tried everything, including sending IM a video. I am just going to replace it with the ehiem +2000

Call them on the phone. I did that with by cabinet doors and they sent me new doors

Looking good!!! Yep after a little work, Eheim is installed and the system is quiet.

Went to order a protein skimmer and they are out for 4-6 weeks:uzi:

So going to have to wait on that and maybe start in on a controller and dosing system next

great reference on the skimmer, i ordered the aquamax for my sr-60 IM tank and it blows my old cadlights out of the water, awesome little machine.

where did you get those cable organizing clips?!
 
Another option for sure! Not impressed with the Cad Lights skimmer, flawed all the way around. May pull the trigger on the Reef Octopus HOB BH1000, if the Aquamaxx is delayed much longer.
 
Thanks for the heads up, that looks really good. I canceled my aquamaxx and going to go with that one. It looks similar technology to the 9004
 
I just preordered it through Marine Depot!!!

I proposed to my wife after 3 months and that turned out amazing, so why not preorder this!:lol2:
