My 1 week old BTA tank... 40g breeder.

My hands are worked over. More pics to follow.

I moved the livestock from the 50g rubbermaid into the display because I was concerned that there could be a delay due to the tank not holding water. There are a crap ton of glue joints, 8 bulkheads, and it's an old used tank. There were no real delays (no leaks :smokin:) but I took my time and just moved the livestock over to the flat this evening. Amazingly all of the btas I previously couldn't get out of the display were walking (lights have been off for 2 days) and I was able to get them all this time

I didn't get 100% finished however because right after putting temporary screens on the drains I tore my ACL and Meniscus... so I am stuck without a proper return and the closed loop is off due to no screens. Still a WIP but yeah, I am going to need some help to finish. No halides right now, going to run them for 6 hours tomorrow and see how it looks.

I think setup is going to be awesome, as soon as I can I am going to get some sand in it. I was going to process the stuff from my crash but given the circumstance... I don't see that happening.

That is a bit far for a day drive out to help you.

Hope you heal, slipped on wet floor didn't you?

Ouch! Sorry to hear, that is some bad timing, but I guess it could have been worse - hopefully you are a quick healer too.

I just had knee surgery myself (torn meniscus again), and am back up and about after one week - you are of course looking at quite a bit longer, but hopefully you will be mobile enough after surgery to finish this up. Good start though (although I am not a big fan of closed loops), and good luck moving forward.

Surprisingly no, it happened from standing up after crawling through the stand.

I need a lot of heat added to my system so the extra energy use goes to good use. With this many anemones i dont really trust powerheads regardless of how much gutter guard is wrapped around them.

I don't normally go the cl route but i think i have had better results since adding the cl.

10 minutes sooner and I would have to hit the reset button on catching nems out of the display. That process took a lot of time. I really hope this doesn't take a long time to heal. Still encouraging to hear about people back at it in a weeks time.

Got the closed loop on, turns out there is no need for eductors, plenty of flow. Now I need to get some better overflow protection.
