Awesome foto, what lens are you using?
Beautiful colour on that Hoek!Pic of the day for me.
Jordan, can you tell me how much liverock you have in your display/sump? Thanks.
Stunning!
Now, didn't somebody mention a fts...
I love instant gratification!!
Hi jroovers,
You kept that Regal angel in your tank for awhile. Do you think that it would live a calm and comfortable life in a 120 gallons tank? I am thinking of upgrading to a 120 gallons in a few months and would love to have a Regal angelfish. I know about its diet and the fact that it might not be 100% reef safe and I accept that fact. I am mostly worry about the tank size.
Thanks.
Looks awesome. So nice to see those large colonies there rather than 100 mini colonies.
I love this tank... I am really happy you don't have 100 different corals in this tank, instead you let this tank grow to maturity.
Originally I envisioned something that didn't look too full with lots of room for fish to swim around. I got away from that over time and finally I think I'm close to being back to where I saw myself wanting to go when I originally started this tank up. Its not minimalist but I'm trying to give it a pleasing, balanced look while also being functional for the fish and the corals.
So your saying you don't like the "cram a million corals in" look I was running with.
I love the look of your tank and aquascaping but whats a reefer to do when they are a coral junky. I think its out of my system though, if I did another SPS tank it would be like yours..

I don't think yours looked too crammed at all... I think you managed to grow a fantastic looking reef that had great structure and form and didn't look unbalanced. If anything, maybe some of your colonies were getting too big!
To be honest, I'm not sure how you did it. Growing a handful of colonies to maturity is one thing, but growing dozens is another.
You definitely are a coral junkie though, no doubt about that
