My 120 filled mostly with SPS

This tank is looking unbelievable. Congrats on having self control and limiting the amount of corals in your tank. Th result is so damn clean looking! I love the blue milli on the left? Does that one have a name or some lineage to it? Looks like a sapphire milli.

In my opinion, you have turned your vision into reality.

I can sum it up my overall impression with two words:
1. MASTERFUL
2. Subscribed

Regards,

Thanks!

"all of my fully colored mature colonies are growing into each other"

"i dont like the balance of all of my HUGE amazing colonies"

"I have too many incredibly healthy corals in my tank"

REALLY!!!! REALLY!!!!

Great work guys. Tank is filling in nicely J. Is it the Canadian water or the 11 months of winter that you attribute all of you successes to?

Sorry if i sound a bit bitter. Its just envy :)

TY for the continued updates and shots!

Yes, the tank has been getting lots of attention this winter and spring (or lack thereof), I don't remember a winter like this one!

Can't find something different to write than the guys before me....so +1,to all of them:)
Amazing tank jroovers!Pure inspiration!
Thank you for the update

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks, that is actually Palmer's blue milli, grew that out from a frag from Darryl.

awesome.. i love the symmetry. the right side is perfect..
love the tank Jordan!!

Thanks, I think once the fire and ice grows back out, it will add more visual interest. Some of the colonies on the right side of the right pillar need to grow out too which will add more interest too structurally.

Such an amazing tank! My inspiration.

Thanks Chaaban, your tank is off to a good looking start.

:thumbsup:Very peaceful, calm and colorful tank. Jordan.

Thanks Bernie, hope your tank is doing well.

i just went back a few pages to look at your old scape.
its pretty different..
you should post a before and after shot..
I'm actually pretty amazed at how 'finished' or already grown in the new scape looks..
and yes, in a few months when it really grows out, it'll look fantastic!
I'm sure your feeding regimen is listed a few pages back, but I'm hoping you'll indulge me and tell us again what you add to the tank and what you feed the fish/coral..

I am a member on two other big Canadian forums (mostly lurking)...There is DEFINITELY something in their water... Seriously though, I have great respect for Canadian SPS keepers...they really know how to produce great tanks.

I've had issues over the years with the scape crumbling and falling apart - rocks near the top have cracked and split dislodging them from the fiberglass rod they are on. That more than anything has forced me to redo my scape. I actually think things would be more grown in if I hadn't had those issues.

Feeding wise I just feed Mysis, NLS pellets, frozen angel diet for my regal, and some nori. Occasionally I also feed some cyclopeeze. I typically feed twice daily, sometimes three times daily on the weekends, NLS at least one of those feedings and on occasions twice, but usually the second feeding is Mysis or angel diet (all my other fish eat the angel diet too, it is mostly krill and sponge I believe). I've been trying to soak all my feedings in Selcon.

Yes, it seems like we have some really nice reefs up this way. Nothing else to do during those cold winter months I guess!

Otherwise, at present I'm having some issues with my undata, not sure what the heck is going on with it, something is irritating it, my best guess is cleaner shrimp but I'm not positive, I'm hoping I can figure it out.

Any chance of a good closesup photo without LED's so we can see exactly what it looks like?

Could that LPS on the left of the Monti be sending out LONG sweepers?

Tank looks great.

Hope u don't mind me posting my light builds on your thread, but it was you and your coral that inspired me to go t5/led, and I couldn't be happier with that decision.
Here's my newest led build. 155-3w LEDs and I'll be running 6-80w t5s. This will be lighting up my 96x30x21 tank.

I did get a pic but just haven't posted it yet. I don't think it is the hammer doing sweepers, but this morning I think I saw what is going on - the clown that is hosting the hammer is constantly cleaning out the base of the hammer of substrate... and the flow is picking it up and depositing it on my undata. The most irritated spots on it are on the flat parts - i.e. the parts where anything suspended would be most likely to land. I've moved the hammer to the back middle of the tank temporarily to at least test this new theory. You did point me in the right direction Sahin, thanks!

Weird, now that I quoted them, I can see them... Looks sweet!

Here are some photos of my undata. This is about a week ago. At first I thought it had spawned, the whole entire coral was slimed up/milty looking, and there were some pink balls in there being released (I can see at least two in that second photo), and some small white things (which simply could be snow/small substrate caught in the slime). At the point these were taken, the lights had been out for 7 hours, and it was morning (some light was starting to come in through the basement windows). I do have a moonlight on my tank, not sure if that makes a big difference for spawning corals, but I'm guessing it very likely does.

Currently, it is looking a lot better. Only one spot is angry still and paled out/white looking. My nutrients have really gone down recently due to less feeding and heavier skimming, I'm trying to get that going the other way.

Anyhow, still a mystery as to what was/is going on.

Looks like chemical warfare between your montis.

I thought of that, but I don't think that is the case. The montis are pretty tolerant of each other, and they sort of grow in and around each other, with the undata being slightly more chemically potent over the confusa. The undata was entirely slimed over, not just in the spots where it competes with the confusa, which makes me think that isn't the issue.
