My 120 filled mostly with SPS

No wonder I kept on getting loads of sub notifications regarding this thread...I was like whats happening with Jordans thread...:D

Beautiful corals and amazing photography!

Can you share your thoughts on why this coral is getting these extra pronounced corallite edges? - I have the same thing happen to two of my largest Millepora.

Not sure about that Sahin... I didn't think they were extra pronounced? It looks fairly typical of other sunsets I've seen, maybe it is just the close-up shot? It is at the top of one of my pillars though, it is getting blasted with a lot of light, and gets pretty strong flow.

I some nice ones of my pink lemonade too but I somehow deleted them when transferring onto my computer. :headwally:

I've done the same a few times lol - transfer everything to my desktop folder and delete the images on the phone and when i went to the folder on my lappy the bloody thing was empty. Always happens when you catch a particularly nice photo......... typical :sad2:

Beautiful images as always mate, the corallites Sahin is talking about do look flattened rather than cup shaped which i usually associate with millis. When someone keeps stuff as well as you we have to resort to nit picking your corallite structure.......:p

I have always noticed wild millepora have more cup shaped coral lites vs. aquarium grown.

It's just a matter of time before you get nominated for TOTM Jason. This is my favorite thread to read these days. Keep up the good work.

Jordan, your corals and pictures are always my favorite. In fact, I hate to say this -- my mouth is drooping with saliva.

unbelievable photos, Jordan… you're a master..
i am in awe of those shots.
your tank's not too shabby either :)

Thanks for all the comments :)

Interesting, I've never noticed this. I'll be on the look out for it now.

Sorry about that, I don't have the ability to go back and edit my posts.

No worries

Does that mean this tank is an upcoming TOTM?

Ha ha I don't think so, have a long way to go before joining the ranks of that club.

Yeah right! This tank should have been TOTM like yesterday. I mean look at this FTS:

Shall I pull some past TOTM FTS's and show you that your tank is of the SAME calibre? :D

That reminds me...we need a new FTS...Its been almost 3 months since that pic.

jordan, your corals are perfection, your tank is absolutely top notch.
absolutely need a new fts!
definitely totm material!

Pleeease man. Not so modest. Definitely TOTM material. And your photography is out of control nice.

Thanks guys. I'll post a new FTS up this weekend, it looks different without that prostrata now. It is already budding back out though. I moved some other stuff on the right side of the right pillar too. Looking at that pic though, I've seen some pretty good growth since then on a few pieces, my undata is way bigger in comparison, and definitely seen some decent growth on other pieces too.

I have something that looks just like it can you tell me what does it like? How flow high light ETC ETC?

Thanks

Pretty much is like every other mille, hardy and tolerates a wide range of conditions, but seems to like pretty high flow and moderate to high lighting. Mine is in high lighting and moderate/high flow, seems quite happy.

TOTM? Well, you have my vote ...and if there were a Photo of the Month, you'd have my vote there, as well.

Excellent pics of stunning corals
