My 200gallons SPS Dominated Build

Good job keeping all thoes acros with all that lps! It's amazing how the flow seems so soft and all the acros are doing good. It's also amazing how all the colonies on the edge of the halides are doing great. Well done! I would have to say keeping a lot of lps and acros in a tank like that is fairly difficult ime. It's funny that allmost every acro in there I had in my first big tank. The new tank you got is a beautiful thing!

Hey, im new to the sps hobby, (used to be infected with the lps and softy bug but the sps bug just took a huge bite at me) anyways, how fast did your green slimer grow and what was your fastest growing acro and coral overall?

Thanks,

Thank you. The planet II was designed for this tank to sufficiently illuminate the tank with just 2x250DE and 4xT5s. I was skeptical about it but it seems to work just fine. I'm also not very picky about my SPS. I put a bunch of frags and if they grow where they are, that's good. If they don't, I move them once or twice but definitely not going to re-arrange the tank for that one special must have acro.
Keeping LPS and SPS is a challenge. Getting colorful LPS and vibrant SPS is a balance. I will never achieve the amazing color I see in some tank because I tend to feed my feed a lot. Lol. And that is okay with me.

Hehehe. Welcome to this crazy addiction. And remember to never give up. I was about 17 when I venture into reef. Made a bunch of mistakes and such. I got to have everything all at once. That was the biggest issue I had.
I'm glad to see that you're starting off with the easier SPS like green slimer. My green slimer grows okay. But the super fast everyone said they are. I have them at the edge of the light though.

Last and final update for this tank. The transfer to the Miracle has begun.

November 14, 2014. Tank was full of 1" frags.
