Wow!!!
That's amazing growth!!
Very nice
The very first pair of shots.. Pearlberry?

Thanks. First pair is an Upscale Microlados.

This is my Pearlberry. While the growth is not as spectacular as the other SPS, it is still my favorite SPS in the tank due to its colors. If you tell me I can only keep one SPS in the tank, this has to be it.

This is from my first post.

Tank: Elos System 160XL. 63″ x 31.5 ″ x 23.6″ H. ~200gallon. All sided starfire, single corner overflow
Sump: Advance Acrylic custom custom with refugium
Lighting: Elos Planet II. 2x250W DE with 4x39W T5. Running Pheonix 14K MH and UVL super actinc with ATI Blue Plus. T5s are for dust and dawn hours only.
Filtration: Vertex Omega 150 skimmer. Will probably need to upgrade when bioload is increased but it does one hell of a job for now. GFO and GAC reactor.
Circulation: Sicce Syncra 3.0 return pump. 2xTunze 6105 running sinusoidal opposite from 1% to 70% controlled by Profilux
Heating/Cooling: 2x250W Eheim Jager heater. 2x120mm Ultra high speed PC case fan. Both are controlled by Profilux
ATO: Spectre Pure meter pump controlled by GHL sensors and float
Doser:GHL controlled by Profilux 3ex. ALK, CA, MG
Controller: Profilux 3ex

Tank Parameters
PH:7.9-8.2 (Probe)
Temp:76.5-77.5 (Probe)
Conductivity: 50mS (Probe)
NH3: Undectable (RSP)
PO4: 0.04ppm (Hanna Checker)
ALK: 8-9dKH (RSP)
CA: 420ppm (RSP)
MG: 1340ppm(RSP)

Nothing has changed except I'm now running 2x MP40QD at 100% in long pulse mode.
I keep my PO4 at 0.00-0.04ppm. When it's 0.04ppm, I know it's time to change our the GFO.
Nitrate has risen a bit. About a month ago, I was putting a lot of large angels(masked swallow tail pair, Majestic, and Regal Angels), trying to get the regal to eat foul the water a bit. I was throwing clams, oyster, mussle, flakes, pellets, anything to try to get the damn Regal to eat. The Regal ended up dying and I was left with a very dirty tank. The others angels were thriving. However, my sps were suffering due to the nipping. I had to make the difficult choice and trapped them all out of the tank and sold them all. I'm only going to keep tangs as my large fish now. Having to look at the bald SPS is a little too much for me. After all of this, my nitrate has risen to about 4ppm. What make matters worse is that 2 weeks ago, I had to travel for work for a week. Before leaving the house, I turned off the skimmer to empty the skimmer cup. Turned it back on and the pump wouldn't work. After about an hour of cleaning it and fighting with it, I unplugged the skimmer. When I came back a week later, the tank was looking fine, a bit dirty but there was no casualty from the trip. I called up Proline and Albert was very helpful and sent me the Omega 150 pump unit. He said to return whatever parts I don't need. I couldn't wait another week for the new pump to arrive so I took the impeller out and superglued it. It works but the moment I turn off the skimmer, the pump would not restart because the impeller would break. But I had it working until the impeller arrived yesterday.
My nitrate is now at 4ppm and possibly higher since my RSP kit has a max of 4ppm.

Even at 0.25ppm of nitrate, bubble algae seem to love me. As you can see in the pictures, I have lots of bubble algae and some diatom on the sand. It doesn't bother me that much since the sps are healthy and have good color and the fish are healthy.

I also do 10-15% waterchange weekly with IO salt.
I use the cheapest salt but proven and buff it up with a little bit of Calcium Chloride. Weekly water change reduce a lot of issues I had before with keeping SPS.

Beautiful pearlberry you have there. Great job getting that color out of it. It is indeed one of the nicest corals out there.

Derek is relentless when it comes to customer service. I don't buy from anyone else. I've had tracks from a lot of companies, even expensive more expensive ones. I've had two custom made tanks and I've been happy with both. I don't think i read it but you should call him and talk to him about your tank. Boubles in silicone is normal and extremly hard to avoid. derek diesnt build the tanks himself, he has builders, he also does a lot more than aquariums. Call him and give him a chance.

Great photos, love the over time shots! Sorry about the tank, not only did the seams look bad but the plastic edge was crooked.
