So I'm thinking of removing my Chaetodon fasciatus. He's always just really dark looking... more of an olive brown than a bright yellow.
I agree with all those things. My concern is that, IME, certain butterflies, when stressed, have their yellow parts tun dark. I've seen it particularly with falcula, melannotus, and now fasciatus. In the past, it was always easy to ID the stress (either a fish being harassed by, or harassing, the fish in question). I have not seen any aggression to or from the fasciatus. But I dunno.... they look like stress colors to me...
I want to see orange tones on bright yellow, like this:
Very nice! Your new mac looks like he is getting on well with the other fish! Has he been staying out in the open? Any issues aggression wise from the more established angels?
