My 240g FOWLR

I think I may move the CB scribbled into the DT today. All meds are complete, she's eating and growing well, and she's darn spunky! Nonetheless, I will use an acclimation box for a few days with her, mainly so the powder blue can get used to her. The PBT is unpredictable. Doesn't even notice the Heniochus, but almost killed the burgessi

Like the acclimation box - I should get one some day.

I think your scribby is going to be A ok. They've got big personality for such little fish. Without sounding too weird, (:uhoh2:)I almost think they know they're Angels & destined to be a dominant fish. Plus it can hide in the rocks if the pbt gets territorial. In my opinion of course!
Based on your group, she could probably slip in without anyone caring much, maybe?
Mine is starting to eat nori, is yours? The other scribs I've had destroyed it with joy.

The scribbled is doing well in the acclamation box.... just a little interest from the PBT. Strangely zero interest from any of the other Chaetodontoplus angels in the tank.

A local friend made it for me. I think he even made Bradley one. Too bad he travels for work so much now that he no longer does acrylic work. No... surprisingly, the fish doesnt seem bothered. I have a pvc elbow in there with her.

I may have to get something when I go to add my regal. I'm a little concerned about how the big one will treat my smaller one that's all ready in the DT.

I think there are a few places that now sell acrylic acclimation boxes. Great investment imo/e.

The boxes do help. Is yours on the bottom of the tank or suspended from the top? How long do you plan on keeping your scribbled in there? My fish always swim frantically trying to get out so I get nervous with BFs in there.

It hangs on the overflow....

Oh, hey, I even found what appears to be the schematic my friend sent me before he built it. My only complaint about mine was that I had him make slots in the bottom, so food doesn't stay inside. Oops.

I use an in-tank refugium from CPR. The powerhead keeps the water circulating and food in suspension, but IMO can be a little strong for smaller fish. I really like the HOB feature on yours, and may have to modify mine accordingly. The suction cups work well enough for PVC tubing/elbows, but if I want to add a bit of LR for grazing, etc... I have to place additional suction cups underneath the unit to prevent it from sliding down.

Oh that's a nice option! Has me thinking... imagine a more slim box that goes top to bottom in the tank. They way fish don't have a choice but to run into the newbie face to face :) Probably only good for really small fish, being as narrow as I'm thinking it would be.

Alright, the scribbled is out of the acclimation box. She got the snot kicked out of her by someone when I wasn't looking, but now she's swimming around with the crowd, without issue. :)

Just all of a sudden Peter.
Hope they're getting along better today when the lights come on.

Shameless plug for Unique Corals, they rock.
