My 2nd Attempt at a S. gig, 1st attempt under LeD's

what LFS do you go to, we seem to have difficult time getting quality gigs in illinois especially chicagoland areas LFS. Nice gigs, wow.

on another note..

im debating about re-arranging the right side of my tank ... i know i shouldnt and i should just let them be, but i feel like the purple one is only receiving flow from the MP10 on the right side of the tank, and the column i got built in the middle kind of blocks majority of the flow.. for him.. just a thought i felt like voicing
 
Alright, i went ahead and pulled the trigger on something ive been debating on doing since i first put the purple one in the 65g... and that was just kind of re-arranging the rocks on the right side of the tank, i felt personally, that the column rock was blocking most of the flow to the purple one, so i kind of just flipped the rocks, and everything went smooth, sand has settled,, and the purple one receives ALOT more flow now, and imo looks better.. =D i also took some eye candy pictures for you all =D

ALSO!!! ..this is kind of weird, i found in the purple one there is a Bright green flourescent green strip kind of cool...

OH! AND i do have clowns.. well clown, sadly the female jumped a little bit ago.. so im in the process of getting my male a new female, im sure some sex changes will go on since ive waited so long, but im not exactly sure how the process works.. or how long it takes for whatever to happen.. but here's some action shots of my Male :)

Ya im suprised a little bit but he loves his overflow corner waaayyyyyy toooo much...he swims by thebpurple one from time to time...i am sure he will jump in it sooner or a later.... :)
 
So i have to do another update.. cause its exciting..and sad but very thankful news...

so last night before going to bed i was just looking at my tank and something just didnt seem right.. the tang was there, the damselfish was there... and it hit me my clown was gone.. (now keep in mind i just lost my Female snowonyx a couple weeks ago).. so i panic.. and sure enough my male had jumped out and behind the tank...

i for sureee thought he was a goner, he was was at that tacky dry point, and to me looked like he wasnt breathing... idk how long he had been sitting there and i definantly thought he was just done.. but me ... hoping for a miracle put him in my hand and set him in the tank and he just floated there in my palm motionless.. so i thought he was a goner just as i was about to pull him out he sank.. so i had a puzzled look.. he sat on the sand for a second and you could see him starting to breath.. beleive me when i say...My mouth dropped.. as he slowly came around .... im pretty sure he was blind as he kept swimming into rocks.. and the wall like he had no idea anything was there..
well he swam right into the purple S. Gig... it shocked him at first, and sc ared me at first because with how he was out of the tank i didnt know how his natural slime coat would re-actbut it did fine... and in a freak accident... a bond was created :)

Now... he does look a little rough... but i think he will make a 100% recovery, also right after this incident i went outside and made a temporary cover till i go buy some clear screen for a top.. with it being almost nearly 20 hours since he jumped coming home from work today he looks really good, breathing normal, got most of his color back.. and looks happy in his Gig

here you can see some of the patches of color loss.. (today he has regained almost all that color back already)

this is the same Male that jumped about 6-7 months ago, and woke me up in the middle of the night.. cause he was flopping around on a box.. this guy really is a tank... and from now on will always remain under a tank with a lid..
but i also think i found the culperate to why he jumped, and why my female jumped a couple weeks back, this damselfish i have seems nice ... but ive started to notice when the clown or even the tang go around his "area" he chases them... so this damsel will be coming out of the tank! :blown:
 
So after my last update, i promised myself i was gonna go awhile before updating again... BUT.,... i was messing with my camera tonight and happen to catch this and had to share the picture :) haha..

the clowns ventured out of their purple S. gig to the bleached on above their's... that has the crab in it, and it was a pay-per-view kind of boxing match and i caught was nearly the first punch thrown by the crab... haha

im not entirely sure why the color of the S. gig isnt captured in this pic as it was in previous updates... i promise im not loosing progression on him he is still regaining color... in this pic he almost looks completely white again, and that is not the case


also what i did for ya guys tonight, was decided to take a video of my whole tank setup.. show you the full thing a few of the frags i got... everythings encrusting nice and good Polyp extension for being a rather newly setup tank..
