My 300 gallon acrylic tank

Fish look great... Love the SF.

I would watch those bubbles and see if it is a cycno related issue or if you start having stringy snot under the bubbles... A few of those shots look like Dinos maybe... but hard to tell. Hopefully nothing major, my last little showing of them only took a couple weeks to erradicate.

Most of it is regular algae.Sorry the shots are not so clean.I did have a few spots of cyano.I then got the wave box witch is helping out.I installed 2 x korrilia #4 but the dam humming from those pumps drove me nuts so into the sump they went.I ordered MJ mod kits from Triton(I think) they boost the GPG of the maxi jet 1200 to 2500 GPH so they should provide some good flow.I have decent flow in the tank but I would like more.

These should make those maxi jets throw some water around.I didn't want power heads in the tank but the dart cl isn't enough flow. Its not bad but I was getting cyano in some spots.Even with the dart as a return pump I got some bad cyano.I have noticed the wave box has helped with that.I don't think its dino at the bottom but I can't be 100% sure.I can't remember what dino looks like.I know its brown but do you have any close up of it.Your thread is looking good.

what, for buying abunch of fish and stars? So you are a sadistic SOB. Nothing I can do about it. Or maybe that's really masochistic?? It's both. You are one twisted dude! :eek2:

Steve why dont you scrape the tank down and make it look nicer ? ALso I would add more LR to the tank to make it look better its a great set up

you guys crack me up. Steve anoter good link. I agree the dart is good but nowhere near enough. You can beat the elec draw though. I would by another but I dont feal like drilling my display yet..

I want to have alot of fish in my 300 display. How many do you have? I forgot do you have a fuge? I hope my 75 fuge helps. Down the line a big skimmer and maybe I'll try a RDSB. Here is a thread where the guy is starting to make a Sulfur Denitrator.

You didn't post the link to the thread for the sulfur reactor.I have about 20 fish but don't tell Jonathan he will get mad at me.8 of the fish I have will get pretty large so I think its enough.I have 125 gal sump.No DSB since my silicone problem but I can hook up another tank to my sump and have that as me RDSB.My 125 has a 1" bulkhead so I can add pipe and a valve if I ever need to disconnect it from my tank.I just need more space. If I can get rid of my work bench and make some room maybe. That or a sulfur de nitrater.Takes up less space than a dsb.

Tanya I need more rock I know this.I have planned to add some.I just don't know when I will do so.I want to add small rocks to cover spots.I don't want that grocery store look like my old tank. my old 150

There were 100 fish in it and it crashed! :D

That's mean, but I got a chuckle out of it.

Steve had a mishap with kalk, which wiped out his tank. This guy is the living proof of bad luck. Lost a beautiful setup again to bad luck :(
