Let me know what you guys think!

hey tbone yes im going to use pulleys should have it up and running by sunday. the reflectors are from reef geek miro? i think greg said they are as good as slrs cool thing is they are 60" and one piece.

jar head yes the rocks are from marco think im going to need more they rule really nice took about 2 months to get though worth the wait...thanks for the thumbs up guys.....

i want to get the lights up and running this weekend when i do i will post some pics. i really like the size as well jar head but there was some things i did not think through. i don't have front access and that's going to be a pain in the ... also its so deep placing corals is going to be tough. might have to jump in and swim lol..
its 72x48x25

Ouch, i hope you have a long arm :D. But you can always stack your rock along the back wall so you gain more access from the back. it also make your tank look very deep.

Have you considered building some sort of platform on wheels? Kind of like scaffolding, but made out of wood, that you can roll over your tank when you need to service it. Then you can lie down on it and place your coral. Just have your kids roll you from front to back so you don't have to climb on and off all the time :)

I really love you are going with all T5s. I'm doing all T5s as well (12x54w) on my 60x36x26, proportionally the coverage will be pretty much the same on our tanks. I haven't seen any other wide big tanks done with T5s. I think with an open aquascape that keeps all 4 walls clean, this setup should be great, even though the watts per gallon is way lower than you normally see (just under 3 watts/gallon). Guess we'll find out :)

One question, what did you use to build your light rack (tools, materials, etc.)? And where did you get everything to do the job? It looks awesome and I'm looking to make something similar.

tbone i was going to do something like that just get a really large piece of wood and crawl out there will see. mcliffy i bought the aluminum at lowes and ace hardware all the other hardware was purchased at lowes was pretty easy to build tell ya what though the aluminum ain't cheap brother.. going to work on the lights tonight i started to build my rocks using acrylic rods and zip ties wondering if anyone has used thehandi foam to kind of help hold the rockwork together? thanks for all the complements

woooo hoo lights almost done fired up about 1/2 tonight also my rock work is done going to start adding water mon or tues. man it took all day on the lights what a pain in the ... will post pics on mon or tues its going to a week just to fill it..

Mrpet, i am running into the same problem as you do with the access. You have no front access, mine is opposite. I wish i have more space in the house :D

yes no front access oh well new pics on tues sorry kinda dragging my feet im spent after working on it for 3 days straight..

My new tank is 8x4x2 with no back access. I was going to set it up as a peninsula tank but no room in the new home. I hope the 1" brace can handle up to to 160lbs :D
