My 375G in wall with pics

Love the tank , Rock work is awesome.. I would go with fine sand Crush coral will gather detrits ,I use the kent scraper to do the bottom so the sand wont get caught in the mag float.....

ya that's how i use to do it on my 180 gonna take a lot of sand though even just two inches guess i will do it next week. i just think it will look a lot better...

I think a SSB looks nicest, but in the end its your preference on looks. I would not go with too fine of a substrate tho to avoid sandstorms. The Caribsea Special Grade Reef Sand (1-2mm) is a happy medium - small enough to look nice, but doesnt get blown around.

hmmm will check that out thanks cliffy. do you have sand in your tank how deep is it and what critters do ya keep in there. was going to add a few sand sifting stars alot of nassarius snails, cukes, and some conch snails as well...

In my current tank I've got a couple serpent stars and a bunch of nassarius that bury in the sand bed. Its 1-2" deep (varies throughout the tank). I plan to do the same thing in the new tank.

great looking tank..tagging along.

i would go BB...you can always add sand later if you want to.

Nice plumbing, can you post more pics?? I would really like to see how it all works, I think that I will copy you if it is running like I believe it is.

Thanks,:D

will try to get some new pics up this week sand tank is still settling in algae a lil here and there i added some zoas and rics as well as some aussie lobos so far and a few sps frags looks empty :( oh well its gonna take a while but its getting there..

What size grains you eventually went for?? I used 3-4mm size grains and it's great as it will not create a sand storm with my 2 tunze 6201
