My 540G Inwall Display Build Thread

What are your plans for your RO discharge water? That will be a lot of H2O send down the sink (especially in AZ)?

Glad you asked. I will be upgrading the RO unit to a 1 to 1 or better then I will be running the waste water to some holding tanks outside that are hooked up to a garden hose to water my plants. No wasting here.

Some minor progress shots from last weekend. Got the sink put into the small closet like room next to the tank. The only purpose for this sink and counter is for washing up before putting my hands in the tank and preping frags coming out of the QT and going into the display. $100 (already had the sink from the demo)

^ Thanks! Due to the holidays and work I have made minimal progress in the past few weeks. But I think the next 4-6 weeks will be very productive. I have all my electrical stuff to get power over to the shed and have interviewed a few carpenters and expect to sign up with one for all the wood work around the tank this coming week. I have also ordered a lot of smaller parts (pumps, dosers, ect) needed to get this wrapped up. Hopefully my next update will show some major progress.

You better have some progress, I check this thread routinely for updates, I love your build and am looking forward to you finally making the system operational :)

LMK how that goes. I need someone to make some skins that match my current skins for my frag tank stands that will house my sump, and other misc equipment since I cant go all-out and knock out walls and build sheds, I needed to find a way to hide all the equipment and more tanks seemed like the most logical option:lolspin:

I promised that the next update would show some serious progress. Here it is. Got the saltwater top off plumbed.

Got a window installed as well as the power to the shed.
