My 57 gallons - Closed loop system

First, this is such a genius and beautifully designed reef/system and I think we all appreciate you sharing this with us. Second, I'd like to as if you could take a picture of the bottom of the tank to show the plumbing near the drilled holes and how the drain/return is plumbed.

Keep the pictures and updates coming. I'd love to hear more about your dosing and sump area as well!

Thank you, Dono!

As my aquarium was mounted on a stone base, my installation of drains and return were made internally, so impossible to take pictures now.

Basically the system is below this. The drawing does not show, but the center of the aquarium has a hole for the installation of closed-loop.

Excuse me, but do not speak English very well, and sometimes I can not express myself correctly in your language. Hopefully they can understand me.

Wow, what an amazing setup! The overflows and closed loop system are just genius. I love your aquascape as well. Simple and minimalistic is my favorite.

Your orange shoulder tang is beautiful. Do you happen to have a current picture of it? And can you comment on how fast it has grown, and what/how often you feed it? I am curious because they are not as commonly kept as many other tangs and I just got one myself. I could only find a tiny one that is about the size of a table tennis ball though, so I am hoping that they grow quickly. :)

Thank you, Ostara!

My Orange shoulder is growing very fast, it's a beautiful fish that is already beginning the process of color change. Food it 3 or 4 times daily with meals varied, dehydrated seaweed, food flaked, granulated feed the basis of spirulina, .....

See the photo I took today:

Wow never seen anything like this. Looks so clean and tidy. Great concept and beautiful tank. Thanks for sharing.

The plumbing is definitely cool.

On the caps on the return of the closed loop, did you silicone the rocks and substrate in place so they wouldn't blow off?

How does your overflow into the sump work? I was looking at your pics and it looks pretty nifty. Some sort of bubble diffuser/silencer contraption?

Wow, she really is a beauty! Thank you for the picture and the info. I feed mine about the same, so I'm sure she'll be as big as yours before long! :D Do you feed her by hand, or does she just come up to beg when you put your fingers in the tank?

Hello Whiteshark !

the rocks and substrate I glued with epoxy glue, was very good and do not let go easily.

Thanks!

Hello Bdial

returning the water to the sump, passes through a mechanical filter that helps to keep clean sump, and prevent splashing and reduce noise.

See photo.

Hello Ostara !!

I tend to sometimes feed on hand, it is very nice to see
fish feeding in our hand.

Thanks

Thanks for replying. Thats a nifty contraption. Is it diy? How does it all work? I think I see some mesh there in the top.

Your corals are beautiful. May I ask what additives and foods you are giving for them and how often?
