My 70 Gallon Zeovit Tank

I had them in a 30 gallon rubbermaid container. I made it over to my new place, the tank is setup and all corals and fish are moved back to the display. I will be posting some new pics soon, corals really browned out on me, hopefully the color will come back soon:)

Good to hear the system is back up and running Perry. My corals browned out as well. It took them about 4 weeks to color back up after my treatments. How long did you QT?

Thanks Mark,
5 weeks on qt, I have not permanently mounted any acros yet. I am going to let them hang in the tank for the moment. If I see anything suspicious, back to qt they go, they are all easily removable.
Thanks again:)

Glad to hear everything's up and running, Perry! Looking forward to seeing everything color back up. :)

The tank is setup and corals are placed for the time being, here is a pic today, forgive my drab brown corals, hopefully they will regain their color soon...:)
Thanks,

I just finished the post. AEFW?? Ah man.. I have them to. Im about to toss all of my acros. I dont have the extra funds for a QT tank right now = (

How do you like running Zevoit? Is it working for you?

I couldnt believe my eyes the first time I dipped my acros. So many AEFW!! I was heart broken. I didnt understand for the longest time why the color on my acros would fade out but all other corals were good. I even hand inspected the acros with magnifying glass. The dip was a last ditch effort. Glad I dipped them though. I couldnt believe how many AEFW were hidden on them! And the whole time I was thinking it was my husbandry. Nope! it was AEFW!! little monsters.

I think zeovit works, and works well... The thing is that you really want your tank to be as compatible as possible to their requirements. For example, my last tank had live sand, from the mods advise, this is not a very good choice with running their system. This tank was setup with Tropic Eden Miniflakes, soaked in RO/DI, and rinsed in RO/DI several times before going in the tank. They advise you use fresh liverock, as to not have accumulated nutrients bound in the liverock. Other than that, running alk at 7.3-7.8 and CA at 400-420ppm. I use an Aquamedic doser which is dosing every 2 hours on both 2 part. For me, I have never had such jaw dropping colors, so I am a fan:) Take it slow if you decided to jump in...GL

The tank looks great Perry. I like your rock work and coral placement. I'm sure after a little while your colors will come around :).

They were dipped in TMPC, followed by a RO.DI dip, 15 seconds. Very harsh, lost a few, but no signs of AEFW. I then dipped revive before this tank. All my acros can be pulled at a moments notice without harm if qt is deemed necessary. I have a 250 halide, rubbermaide bin with a sump and bm 160 skimmer. So, not to worried about doing this if worse comes to worse. Fingers crossed at this point, we will have to see...

Thanks Chris!
Hope all is well... I am overall pleased so far with colors, upon 1 week running zeovit again, the tank is coloring nicely. Great seeing you again Chris, hope those frags do well. Looking forward to some pics down the road.
:)

HI Perry,

I am a zeohead too and have been following your thread on the Zeovit forum.
Just wondering what kind of salt are you using?
