I have been in the hobby for 35 yrs & have always wanted to have a big tank.

First I need to thank my good friend John from Aquatic World in Houston, without him I would probably still be thinking about this tank. He has worked many hours with me to get this dream to come thru.

I also need to thank my beautiful wife for putting up with me in this hobby. The slime, ocassional smell, water leaks, etc.

My 200 gallon is in the living room & the deal was that I can have any size tank I want if I just get "that thing" out of her living room.

Litttle did she know.

Drip pan: AGE Built in stand to contain any small problems

800 lbs of live rock has been curing since June.

The tank was supposed to go into my study which we were not using for anything. My daughter just had a baby & my wife wanted to use the room for granddaughter. The only other place this tank would fit was in our bedroom. We have a large bedroom with 16' ceilings.

I laid the size of the tank out on the floor with cardboard & wife said to do it. Don't have to tell me twice!

She has decided this after the tank has been ordered. It will not fit thru the hallway into the room. We have to pull a rear window out & move a 1600 lb tank thru the window.

Got me inspired...definitely tagging along. I am going to watch very closely the conversations taking place between you and your wife. I am gathering tools for when I retire. I am gonna have to figure a way to coerce my wife. Great build and really psyched about checkin out your pics!! Dig the dogs too.

Nice build.. cant wait to see it together. Only thing i have to ask is Aquatic World? The one off 290 and Jones? I didnt think that guy even did saltwater.

He used to own Global & now has Aquatic World. I have known him for 10+ yrs & he knows alot about saltwater. He has not got the saltwater section set up in the new store, but he knows more about saltwater than anyone I know of.

Wait until you see what we (he) has created.

Correction: Orca for skimmer, Hammerhead for return.
Delted calcium reactor.

Good catch!
