My 748 Gal A.G.E. Aquaillumination SOL lit Texas Dream Tank Build!

just curious as to why you got the ballistic 1 skimmer and not the "2"
their website and any info i have found says its only rated for around 500 gal. Did you talk with PM and they said it would handle it? just curious. (i have a friend that has a large build and that skimmer just wasnt rated enough, but i just wanted your opinion)

It was too tall. I will see how this one works & if I need to upgrade later I will.

Mike from PM & John seem to think it will do thejob.

Correction: Orca for skimmer, Hammerhead for return.
Delted calcium reactor.

Good catch!

no worries we are here to help.
I will be following your built with great interest as I have a tank coming up very simular to your dimensions.
Also choose for a Hammerhead as Return and will have a closed loop run by a Barracuda.
Have to delay the building date with 5 months for now was hoping to start building next month but some issues pushed me back.
will be following

OK, here we go.

The tank would not fit down the hallway, so I had to have a rear window pulled out & put the tank thru the window on its back..

Move in Day.

looking at the tank's foot print on its side..... thats a lot of real-estate!!!
that will be fun to rock and stock! (tons of swimming room as well)

good lord man! The pics really put it into perspective on how large it actually is! My tank, I stuck my 3 year old in it to make it look big, your sticking adults into it and it still looks huge lol

Phenomenal tank and the absolute best dimensions (and builder).

I hope you & your wife like the sound of running water and pump motors while you sleep! ;)

My wife COMPLAINED for 2 yrs when I used to have my 75g in the bedroom....and I only had the Mag-Drive return pump running at night!

She likes to go to sleep with the TV on, so white noise/water should be no problem.

It was her choice anyway, I had it ready for the study. With the new grandchild she took the study & told me to use the bedroom.
