My 748 Gal A.G.E. Aquaillumination SOL lit Texas Dream Tank Build!

Very nice tank, cool build. Just my 5 cent here. I really would at least consider running your pumping out the side of the house and put my sump/skimmer and large pumps outside. You could house it all in one of those large plastic sheds, the low kind that people put cushions in. You could have an emergency overflow on your sump outside. noise,smells, water spills. Just trying to help here. best of luck to you no matter how you decide.

Hope your wife doesn't mind people coming in and out of your bedroom. I imagine local hobbyists are going to be lining up to see this bad boy!

Amazing tank so far! I would also throw out the idea of a "sump house" right outside if you could manage. That is what I have and I love having all the noise and equipment outside. The only thing inside I have to do is feed and clean the glass. I can make as big of a mess as I want outside and its no big deal. Just a thought. Either way your tank will be amazing!

I like the idea of pump house outside. We started it up last night & it was pretty loud.

I will have to see once I get the cabinets in.

Sweet tank! I had 3 tanks in my bedroom. I wouldnt do it again. There is always a noise that drove me crazy trying to sleep. Also if you take a nap & dont have a canopy you have to shut the lights off to sleep.

I have the same size tank and run 18 AI SOL Blue's.
How do you plan on the layout for the lights? I run 3 strings of six lights down the length of the tank and find that provides the best coverage.
I wish you the best on noise and the salt in the air, I just can't imagine a tank this size on carpet, let alone in a bedroom.
When I got rid of my 450g I completely gutted the room, put a drain in the floor (spills will happen), used shower surround on the walls and ceiling, completely caulked all gaps/holes, and put in two 8" exhaust fans and a 6" fan pulling fresh air in. I still know the salt in the air will affect other parts of my house.

Definitely would love to see more on how you are setting up yours.

Lights are 4 rows (4' rails)of 5 lights each. 2 in front, 2 in back. "=="

I am in Houston where 80-90% humidity is the norm. The tank has had gravel, rock & half full of salt water for 3 weeks with open top & I have not even noticed the difference in humidity. The canopy will vent outside to help control humidity.

Noise- Waiting to see how bad it is with the canopy attached & stand encased. We sleep pretty good with white noise.

It's pretty hard to see in there with no lights.

It looks amazing! John did a great job!

The right side has a volcano looking structure so light will pass thru the center.

Canopy & stand coming Tuesday. I can put the lights on after top is on. I have aluminum Angle being put in for the light rails to have the ability to slide front to back.
