amazing build. so how has the noise level been so far?

The hum of the hammerhead is great. Puts me to sleep. The GenX 30 feed pump for the skimmer is bad. I am waiting to swap it out with a new one.

So far no complaints from wife about noise. Still have to hook up Vortec
M60s.

Thanks, everything takes so much longer than you think it will. Took 4 hours just to wire up the lights.

Working outside on window plexiglass reminded me of working on cars as a teenager in the driveway til all hours of the night.

Im curious how you like your new lighting? Now that you have played with them for a few days do you like them? How is the controller to use and how is the flexibility? Looks like a real nice design. Also how far off the water are they? Do you get good lighting at the sand bed? Feel they are strong enough?

I have had 6 AIs on my 200 for about 6 months & i love them. Easy to control & shimmer at all light settings. If I remember right the lights are 16" off the top of the water. Tank is 30" tall. I am hoping that 20 of them will give pleanty of light. I am only running them at 38% now.

The entire canopy is white inside, so I should not be loosing much light.

where did you get the fans, and how much were they?
how quiet are they? (i have been looking for something small like this!)

thanks!

(also, are you running both out, or 1 in and 1out? maybe reverse polarity so you pump cold air in over winter?)

Got them at lowes. less than 30.00 ea. Both are sucking out. I have 1 other hole at each end, total 2 for intake.

They do not move alot of air, but I am going to give them a try.
They are extremely quiet.

I can "understand" that. I am in the process of planning a large system too. I am going wooden as it will be a wall to wall system. I see there was some discussion around placing the tank in front of the windows. Are you still happy with that decision or would you do it differently if you could do it again? Just curious because my tank will be in front of windows too. Im wondering if there are any hidden issues im not thinking of.

In Chinese culture the best place to put a tank is in front of a window. Brings in good luck.

Awesome setup BTW.

D&D forum here is a us guy that can get you what you need, but i hear they suck at support.

they are the only ones that i know of

i guess they arnt a sponsor anymore....
(i saw them last month when i was browsing the forums.... but now they arnt there....)

you might have to post in the lighting and equipment forum to see if anyone else has contact information or part numbers...

hope the best!

Added 2 more fans inline. Now there is 2 fans in each output line. One at the window & one at the top near the canopy. Now there is alot of air coming out.

Got 2 M60s & 1 m40 running, & the protein skimmer overflow plumbed with a union.

I'm going to test the water today & see what it looks like. Taking down my 200 next Saturday & moving everything over.
